BigCommerce integration setup guide
Connect your BigCommerce store with the Flinque influencer marketing platform to track creator-driven sales, sync products and orders, and attribute revenue to specific creators and campaigns.
What you can do with the BigCommerce integration
- Track creator-driven sales: connect BigCommerce orders to specific creators and campaigns
- Sync product catalog: pull products into Flinque for use in creator briefs and campaigns
- Automate coupon codes: generate creator-specific coupons that flow into BigCommerce
- Real-time order events: webhook integration for instant order tracking
- Customer attribution: understand which creators bring high-value customers
- Multi-channel ready: works with BigCommerce’s headless and traditional storefronts
Before you begin
Make sure you have:
- A Flinque account on the Starter plan or above
- A BigCommerce store with admin access
- Permission to create API accounts (store owner or full admin role)
- Your BigCommerce store hash (found in the URL of your control panel)
Setup steps
Create a BigCommerce API account
In your BigCommerce admin, go to Settings → API → API accounts. Click Create API account and select Create V2/V3 API token.
Configure:
- Name: Flinque Integration
- OAuth scopes: Products (read-only), Orders (read-only), Customers (read-only), Marketing (modify), Information & Settings (read-only)
Click Save. BigCommerce displays your API credentials. Save the Client ID, Client secret, and Access token.
Find your store hash
Look at your BigCommerce admin URL. The store hash appears in the path: store-XXXXXXXX (the section starting with “store-“). Copy this value.
Open the Integrations page in Flinque
Log into your Flinque workspace at platform.flinque.com. Go to Settings → Integrations. Find BigCommerce and click Connect.
Enter API credentials
Provide:
- Store hash: from step 2
- Client ID: from step 1
- Client secret: from step 1
- Access token: from step 1
Click Test Connection. Flinque verifies the credentials are valid.
Configure attribution and coupons
Choose your attribution mode (coupon, UTM, or combined). Configure default coupon settings if you want Flinque to auto-generate creator coupons.
Save and verify
Click Save Settings. Flinque registers webhooks and performs a test sync. Your BigCommerce integration is now active.
Verifying the connection
- Place a test order using a creator coupon or tagged link
- Check Flinque Campaigns view; the order should appear within 5 minutes via webhook
- Check that products are appearing in your Flinque catalog (allow 30 minutes for first full sync)
Troubleshooting
“Invalid credentials” error
Recheck the store hash format (should start with “store-“). Confirm your access token was copied without spaces. API credentials only display once, so you may need to regenerate them in BigCommerce if the originals were lost.
Missing OAuth scope errors
If you see permission errors, your API account is missing required scopes. Edit the API account in BigCommerce and confirm all required scopes from step 1 are enabled.
Coupons not creating in BigCommerce
Confirm your API account has the Marketing (modify) scope enabled. Test creating a coupon manually in BigCommerce admin to confirm coupons work in your store.
Orders missing from Flinque
BigCommerce webhook delivery can occasionally fail. Flinque automatically retries and falls back to periodic syncs every 30 minutes. If orders are still missing after 1 hour, contact support.
Disconnecting the integration
- In Flinque, go to Settings → Integrations → BigCommerce and click Disconnect
- In BigCommerce, go to Settings → API → API accounts and revoke the Flinque Integration API account
