Magento integration setup guide
Connect your Adobe Commerce or Magento Open Source store with the Flinque influencer marketing platform to track creator-driven sales, sync products and customers, and attribute orders to specific creators and campaigns.
What you can do with the Magento integration
- Track creator-driven sales: attribute Magento orders to specific creators and campaigns
- Sync large product catalogs: works with Adobe Commerce’s enterprise-scale product data
- Coupon code automation: generate creator-specific Magento Sales Rules with unique coupon codes
- Customer attribution: compare creator-driven customer LTV across segments
- Multi-store and multi-website: works with Magento’s multi-store and multi-website architecture
- Order status tracking: see order state changes (processing, complete, cancelled) in Flinque
Before you begin
Make sure you have:
- A Flinque account on the Enterprise plan
- Adobe Commerce 2.4 or Magento Open Source 2.4 (older versions may work but are not officially supported)
- Magento administrator access with permission to manage integrations
- HTTPS enabled on your Magento store
- Magento REST API and OAuth enabled (default in modern installations)
Setup steps
Create a Magento integration
In your Magento admin, go to System → Extensions → Integrations. Click Add New Integration.
Configure:
- Name: Flinque
- Email: your admin email
- Callback URL and Identity link URL: leave blank (we are not using OAuth handshake flow)
Configure API resources
Go to the API tab. Choose Resource Access: Custom and select these resources:
- Catalog → Inventory and Products (read)
- Sales → Operations (Orders, Invoices) (read)
- Customers → All Customers (read)
- Marketing → Promotions (Cart Price Rules, Coupons) (read/write)
- Stores → Settings → Stores (read)
Click Save.
Activate the integration
Back on the integrations list, click Activate next to Flinque. Approve the requested access. Magento generates four credentials:
- Consumer Key
- Consumer Secret
- Access Token
- Access Token Secret
Save all four. They are shown only once.
Open the Integrations page in Flinque
Log into your Flinque workspace at platform.flinque.com. Go to Settings → Integrations. Find Magento and click Connect.
Enter store URL and credentials
Provide your store base URL and the four credentials from step 3. For multi-store setups, choose which store views Flinque should track. Click Test Connection.
Configure attribution and save
Choose attribution mode (coupon, UTM, or combined). Configure default Cart Price Rule settings for auto-generated coupons. Click Save Settings.
Verifying the connection
- Initial product sync may take 30 minutes to several hours depending on catalog size
- Place a test order using a creator coupon or tagged link
- Orders typically appear in Flinque within 5 to 10 minutes
- Check the integration log in Flinque settings for sync status
Troubleshooting
“Authentication signature mismatch”
Verify your store URL is exactly correct (with https:// and no trailing slash). Magento OAuth signatures depend on the exact URL. Some servers add or strip slashes; ensure consistency.
“Resource not found” errors
The integration is missing required API resources. Edit the integration in Magento and confirm all resources from step 2 are selected. Reactivate the integration after changes.
Slow product sync
Large catalogs (50,000+ products) can take several hours for the initial sync. Subsequent syncs are incremental and much faster. Use the integration log to monitor progress.
Coupons not creating
Magento coupons are created via Cart Price Rules. Confirm the Marketing → Promotions resource has read/write access. Test creating a Cart Price Rule manually in Magento admin.
Disconnecting the integration
- In Flinque, go to Settings → Integrations → Magento and click Disconnect
- In Magento, go to System → Extensions → Integrations and either deactivate or delete the Flinque integration
