How long does it take to run an influencer marketing campaign?

Quick answer

End to end, an influencer campaign takes six to ten weeks: about two for planning and creator vetting, two to three for outreach and contracting, one to two for content and approvals, then the live window and reporting.

My manager wants a campaign live next week and I think that is unrealistic. How long does it actually take to run an influencer marketing campaign from a standing start, including all the setup nobody sees?

Budget six to ten weeks for a first run. The posting is quick, it is the vetting, contracting and approvals around it that eat the calendar.

Outreach is the unpredictable stage. Creators reply when they reply, so the more lead time you give that step the less the whole thing slips.

The posting is the short part. The work around it is what sets the calendar. From a standing start, budget six to ten weeks for a first campaign and a little less once you have a process. The bulk goes into the stages an outsider never sees.

Roughly: a week or two to set the goal, define the audience and build a vetted shortlist. Two to three weeks for outreach, negotiation and contracts, since creators reply on their own schedule. One to two weeks for briefing, content and approval rounds. Then the live window itself, plus a week after for results.

The stage that swallows time is finding and vetting the right creators, because doing it by hand means scrolling and guessing. Flinque collapses that first stretch by letting you filter 10M+ verified creators down to a vetted shortlist in an afternoon, so the calendar starts at outreach rather than at a blank search.

Once you have a repeatable process and a roster you trust, the same campaign can turn around in two or three weeks. The first one is always the slow one.
