How do you track sales and conversions from influencer marketing?

One code or link per creator is the whole game. Shared codes tell you the campaign worked but never which creator actually drove it.

The principle is one unique identifier per creator so every order points back to a source. The main tools: a unique discount code each creator shares, a tracked link with UTM tags so your analytics sees the traffic, dedicated affiliate links if you run an affiliate setup and sometimes a creator-specific landing page for bigger partnerships.

None of these catch everything, because plenty of people see a post then search and buy directly, which breaks the link. Cover that gap with a simple how-did-you-hear-about-us question at checkout or a quick post-purchase survey. Combined with the codes, it catches the dark-social sales the click trail misses.
