We’re Hayden and Jade and we run Zea, our family business built on decades of love, care, and a deep belief in the healing power of nature, backed by science.
While Zea in its current form is 9 years old, our roots stretch back decades, to the days when Hayden’s parents, Michelle and Simon, ran health stalls and massage clinics up and down the east coast of Australia, then settling in Tasmania.
Michelle, our aromatherapy queen, is still hands-on in the business, creating our signature essential oil blends, helping customers as a naturopath and guiding our B2B customers in how to use the products.
Simon was a horticulturalist who not only researched Kunzea and its properties, but built many of the amazing relationships that we still have today in farming, manufacturing and product development.
Unfortunately, he passed away soon after Zea launched. As Hayden wrote soon after his passing, “My dad was a generous and beautiful man, and a driving force behind the growth of Zea. I plan to carry on my Dad’s legacy and with the help of you all we will be able to help many more people as he would have wanted.”
It’s truly been a family affair, with many of the family pitching in at different stages and Beauty Point in Tasmania remaining the heart of our family and our products.
Over the years, things have grown, shifted, and evolved and our product range has expanded, our team has grown, and our community stretches around the globe.
Yet, through all of that change, our mission never wavered: we exist to create health and wellness products that are filled with integrity, grounded in science and nature, and crafted from the best Australian native botanicals.
