ʿāda – yaʿūdu (عاد – يعود)
To return.
To come back.
Eid is not just a celebration.
It is something that returns
again and again, reminding us to return to something again and again.
So I began to wonder, what do I return to?
For a time,
I returned to what I was trying to achieve.
To what I was waiting for.
To what had not yet happened.
But beneath all of that,
there was something deeper pulling me back.
Then I reminded myself: Who am I?
I am a Soul.
A Nadim Mustaghfir.
I am here to attain najat beyond
the limits of matter, space and time.
Through walayat of Maula and Awliyaullah, I turn to Allah in Ibadah.
My identity is:
I am Amat-e-Syedna TUS.
So I chose to return,
again and again to my Maula!
His qurbat,
His khidmat,
His khushi,
Became my Nuqtah!
What do you return to, again and again?
🐐 Eid al-Adhaa Mubarak 🐑
Hope is not the absence of difficulty. It is the decision to remain open to what is possible and in your capacity to change.
So, the first step does not begin with a plan or a strategy it begins with you, because you cannot walk far on a path if the person walking it is breaking within.
We live in a world that tells us to push harder. To want something badly enough and it will come.
But no one speaks about what happens to a heart that has quietly held disappointment, to a mind that has learned to accept and rationalise repeated failure, to a body that carries years of cortisol!
So what I learned was that in order to tend to the goal, we tend to forget ourselves.
Holistic healing therefore, is the act of returning to yourself wholly, gently.
For you are not just a mind with a mission,
You are a soul seeking higher purpose.
A heart that needs love and safety.
A body that needs rest.
An intellect waiting to evolve.
When any one of these areas are neglected, the path becomes heavier than it needs to be.
This is not about perfection. It is about learning to care for all of yourself while you keep walking.
….Because who you are becoming on the way to your dream matters just as much as the dream itself.
H.O.P.E begins from the inside out.
The question is HOW do we return to ourselves?
Some of you said;
That you feel hopeless.
That you’ve stopped dreaming because you don’t want to be disappointed.
That you’re meant to just accept your fate, and believe things will never change, so why HOPE at all?
This quote is telling you to
hold two truths at the same time:
👉 Be firmly rooted in reality
👉 But let your aspiration rise beyond it
Hope here is: the ability to stay grounded in what is,
while still believing in what can be, because Allah can take your plans further than your eyes can see.
You are simply meant to do your bit and trust in His power to provide you abundantly, beyond your limited understanding.
This is where H.O.P.E begins. 🤍
There are prayers we carry quietly for years.
Not because we have given up but because we haven’t.
And in that long, sacred in-between, most of us are doing it alone. Holding on. Showing up. Pretending we are fine. Wondering if it will ever come.
This is for everyone living in that space right now.
The Quran states:
“وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجۡعَل لَّهُۥ مَخۡرَجٗا وَيَرۡزُقۡهُ مِنۡ حَيۡثُ لَا يَحۡتَسِبُۚ”
“And whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect.”
(65:2–3)
———
This ayah changed the way I understood how the laws of Allah’s creation work.
It reminded me that there is a force greater than our effort, greater than our timeline, greater than our understanding, already working on our behalf. That a way out exists, even when we cannot see it.
But it also begins with taqwa. With consciousness. With showing up. With doing your part.
That is where H.O.P.E comes in.
Dua and dawa.
Trust and effort.
Surrender and striving.
H.O.P.E is a framework for faith in motion.
H — Holistic Healing
O — Orientation
P — Physiology
E — Expansion
Four pillars. Not a quick fix. Not toxic positivity. But a way of living intentionally so that instead of waiting passively for your dream, you become an agent of change while trusting that Allah will provide from where you least expect.
I am writing this because I lived it.
And because I believe it can change how you carry yours.
So, practice H.O.P.E. 🤍

I dedicate this post to my beloved Ammi Saab, who taught me the mohabbat of Dai’z Zamaan, shukr, tawakkul, bashashat, bandagi, khidmat, silaturrahim, deep relationships, morals, goodness of heart, purity of intention, helping those in need, being kind and hospitable and living joyfully to name a few!
Wishing all you mothers a happy mother’s day, and I also reach out to all you daughters carrying the ache of losing your dearest Ammis.
Losing a mother is so heartbreaking ❤️🩹
I pray their hasanaat continue living through us, through our intentions, our actions, our softness, our sabr, and the love they taught us to give.
Shukran for every word of sabr, kindness and taziyat you have shared with us during our loss. Your messages have held our heart, more than you know!
Shukran.
curious, searching, wanting to grow into every role life could offer me.
And then life unfolded differently than I had expected.
While many around me became mothers,
I found myself feeling alone and anxious.
Looking back now, I see something I couldn’t see then-
while others were raising children,
Allah was helping me grow myself.
That journey, with all its highs and lows,
has given me a depth of clarity and compassion
I could not have found otherwise.
Alhamdolillah!
To anyone walking this path,
what is yours will find you, Inshallah!
Until then,
this time is not empty.
Something greater within you is quietly taking shape.
Although I cannot change your situation, I genuinely pray for you 🤲🏻

🐪 The Camel — Endurance and Balance
In the Compendium of the Animals, the camel speaks from the margins of survival. Shaped by deserts, distance, and scarcity, it embodies patience under conditions that would exhaust most beings. The camel carries heavy burdens, endures thirst, and moves steadily across hostile terrain without excess or complaint.
Through the camel, the animals argue that intelligence is not measured only by speech or reason, but by the ability to adapt wisely to one’s environment. The camel survives not through domination, but through balance, taking only what is needed, conserving strength, and enduring without rebellion.
Its testimony challenges human ideas of power and success. While humans often equate progress with expansion and excess, the camel demonstrates a quieter form of wisdom: survival through restraint, patience, and attunement to the limits of the world.

Oryx -Antelope: Gouache on Chitrapat | 10” circular format
The Gathering of the Animals
The story begins on an island where animals live free from human rule. Over time, they begin recounting their suffering under humans:
• Forced labor
• Hunting for sport
• Captivity
• Exploitation without gratitude
The animals debate among themselves whether humans truly deserve dominion over creation.
Eventually, they decide:
➡ Their dispute cannot be settled among themselves
➡ It must be judged by a neutral authority
They choose the Malik al-Jinn, ruler of the Jinn, known for wisdom and fairness.
——-
🦌 The Deer/ Antelope— The Argument of Vulnerability
In the Compendium, the deer speaks not from dominance, but from fragility. It represents creatures that survive not through power or conquest, but through sensitivity, awareness, and balance with their environment. The deer describes a life shaped by constant alertness, listening, sensing, and adapting to danger, demonstrating intelligence rooted in survival rather than control.
The deer reminds the court that gentleness is not weakness. Its existence reflects a form of wisdom that avoids destruction, sustains ecological balance, and preserves harmony within nature. As prey, the deer does not seek to dominate others for survival; instead, it lives within the limits of necessity.
Through its testimony, the deer questions human values that celebrate conquest, expansion, and control, asking why societies glorify domination while overlooking the strength required to coexist peacefully with other forms of life.
