まさかのアフリカ セネガルの伝統料理「ヤサ（玉ねぎとレモンのソース）」とピスタチオがおにぎりに⁉️
爽やかな酸味とコクが絶妙にマッチして、おにぎりの可能性は無限大だと実感。
ヤンニョムも重すぎずちょうどいい塩梅で、これ日本でも売って欲しい…！笑
📍 ② Omusubi GONBEI (権米衛)
パリのおにぎり人気の火付け役！
平日でも地元の人で大行列。
・Poulet piquant（スパイシーチキン）
4種のスパイスを使ったピリ辛チキンは、お米の甘みを引き立てる最高の組み合わせ。
何よりお米がふっくら炊き上げられていて、一瞬日本に戻ったような安心感に包まれました🥹
💰 お値段は東京の2倍〜ほどですが、円安の影響を考えると、現地の方には私たちが日本で買うのと同じくらいの日常の感覚なのかも？
どちらのお店も地元の人たちが行列を作っている光景に、ONIGIRIが世界基準のソウルフードになっていることを確信した1日でした✨

Onigiri Pop Up at Kun Café, Paris 🍙🇫🇷
I was so happy to share my “kimono onigiri,” which I had been making in Asakusa, with everyone in Paris.
For this pop up, we prepared 3 kinds of onigiri⬇️
🍙Sakura🌸
Made with handcrafted salted cherry blossoms from Izumo, one of Japan’s most historic regions.
🍙Matcha × Wasabi Cream Cheese💚
A fusion onigiri created for this event.
The rice was cooked with fragrant, high quality matcha.
🍙Japanese Tartare🍖
My signature onigiri topped with egg yolk and inspired by Japanese style sukiyaki beef.
In total, I made 100 onigiri for this pop up.
Thank you so much to everyone who came, to Jason, the owner of Kun Café, and to Sayaka for organizing and supporting this event.
Kun Café is not just a stylish café.
Jason bakes cookies and other treats in the shop every morning, and each matcha drink is prepared fresh to order.
They also sell onigiri and bento, and their homemade kimchi onigiri is a must try.

🌾活動のきっかけ🌾
高校生の頃、私は自律神経を壊して、何も食べられない時期がありました。
そんな中、祖父の住む福島で食べた、湯気の立つ炊き立ての白いごはん。
一口食べたその瞬間、ごはんのおいしさに感動しておかわりまでしていたんです。
それをきっかけに少しずつ食べられるようになり、心と体も回復していきました。

その後、私はアメリカに進学し、世界中から集まる留学生やアメリカの学生と過ごし様々な価値観や文化に触れ、改めて自分の生まれ育った日本の美しさを実感しました。
そして「自分の言葉で、日本文化を世界に伝えていきたい」と思うようになりました。
その中で私が選んだのは、日本の“食”です。
命を救ってくれたお米、そして おにぎり は、最も身近で、大好きで、最も奥深い文化だと感じています。

今は全国のおにぎり屋さんを巡り、
田んぼや畑、伝統料理や味噌蔵塩など様々な生産者さんを訪ねて日本食の魅力を学んでいます。

そしてこれからは、「おにぎりタレント」として日本のお米とおにぎりといった食の魅力をさらに海外へ届けていきたい。私を救ってくれたお米に恩返しができるような活動をしていきたい。
そのために、これからも一歩ずつ。
目の前のことに誠実に向き合いながら、精進していきます🌾
🍙 Why I Share Onigiri with the World 🇯🇵
When I was in high school, I struggled with an eating disorder and couldn’t eat for weeks.
At my grandfather’s in Fukushima, I was blown away by how delicious the rice was — I even asked for seconds.
That moment changed everything — and showed me how powerful food can be.
Studying in the U.S. let me experience many cultures and values.
It inspired me to look closely at my own roots—and I rediscovered the depth and beauty of Japanese food culture.
Among all our traditions, I chose onigiri — simple, warm, and deeply tied to local people and stories.
I believe every culture has its own beauty — and food helps us connect beyond borders.
Now I travel across Japan, visiting rice fields and small producers, learning their craft and sharing their passion.
I hope to share the love of Japanese rice and culture with the world. 🍙🌍
