PPAツアー初の東京開催という歴史的な大会で、日本のファンの皆さまの前で優勝できたことを心から嬉しく思います。
アメリカでタイトルを獲得したあとも、「この日本大会で勝たなければ、本当の意味で日本にピックルボールの大きな波は起こせない」と、自分にプレッシャーをかけ続けてきました。
苦しい場面では、皆さんの声援が何度も僕を前に進ませてくれました。
この勝利は僕一人のものではなく、日本のみんなで掴み取った勝利だと思っています。

Yesterday I held a press conference in Tokyo, Japan for Miami Pickleball Club 🇯🇵🔥
My goal is to win a PPA Tour title and help bring an MLP championship to Miami.
At the same time, it’s exciting to see more Japanese players stepping onto the MLP stage. It shows how fast the game is growing back home, and I’m proud to be part of that growth.

ルールも分からない、言葉も分からないアメリカで知り合いもいない、ゼロからのスタートでした。
間違いなく人生で1番厳しく、苦労した日々でした。しかし、これまでのバックグラウンドが僕を支えてくれました。
無我夢中に没頭し決して諦めない姿勢は、これまで全国各地出会った子供達から、技術やアスリート能力はこれまで20年以上積み重ねた練習から、泥臭くてもいいから何事も逃げずに粘り強く生き抜く力は、ソフトテニスを通じて色んな困難克服してきた経験から、これら全てが僕を助けてくれました。
日本発祥のソフトテニスで培ったものが、世界でそして様々な舞台で通用する事を証明したいと思います。
ここからが本番です。
東日本一般から出場予定です。
僕のこの挑戦は理解できない人が沢山いる事も分かっています。それでもこの先に新しい可能性があると信じて、僕は心を燃やして頑張ります。
