No Sambódromo da Marquês da Sapucaí, a MISCI e apresentaram “Escapismo Tropical”, partindo do Brasil como campo de pesquisa. A coleção cruza referências do litoral e do interior, do carnaval e do tropicalismo, da alfaiataria com técnicas artesanais, para pensar um vocabulário construído pelas paisagens e memórias. Redes de pesca transformadas em tecido, couro vegetal feito de capim, bordado filé, macramê em seda, joias em madeira e novas experiências têxteis ajudam a entender o desfile como um exercício de linguagem sobre o que pode ser uma moda brasileira contemporânea.
