Last year was the first New Yearās in almost 40 years that I had spent with my brother. Although his loss has been deeply painful, it has also made me strongerābecause thatās what he would have wanted.
This year also brought joy as my son, Nolan, and my daughter, Dania, bought their first home. After nearly four years, my kids and grandkids were finally together again. Iām also very proud of my daughter, Lissette, and all that she has accomplished. I am so thankful to everyone who supported me through my griefāthose who offered words of comfort, gave me a hug when I needed it most, and stood by my side. Iām especially grateful to my partner, Raul, for being there during my hardest moments.
As I look ahead to 2025, I believe itās going to be a great year. Iām leaving behind the sorrow and grief of losing my brother and finding peace in knowing heās in a better place. One day, weāll be together again. Until then, I will stay strongāfor myself, my kids, my grandkids, my mom, and all those I love.
