初めての縁日さん、初めての岩手県での展覧会。
周りの景色や歴史、文化が違う土地に訪れるのは良いですね。新鮮なことが沢山で楽しく在廊の時間を過ごすことが出来ました。
縁日さんは僕の家業と同じ幟旗を染める染物屋さん。今もそういったものを染めつつ、これまで培ってきた技術や伝統を活かし新たなプロダクトや場を作られています。
僕も同じような動きをしていますが、似てるようで異なる、違うようで共通する、何か同志のような感覚があり有意義なディスカッションも出来ました。
縁日さんの描く未来を見てみたいし、僕も見せたい。また一緒に何か出来たら嬉しいなと。

先日の岩手、仙台出張でよしとみやさん に行って参りました。こんな美味しいかき氷食べたことない！ぐらいめちゃくちゃ美味しかった（語彙力の無さに愕然…）！中にジュレが入っていたりカリッとする意外な食感のものが入っていたり、もうかき氷の域を越えているデザートでした！
そうです、こちらのかき氷屋さんのロゴマークやメニュー文字のデザイン、暖簾などを担当させて頂きました。素敵に使ってくださり嬉しい限りです。

よつめ染布舎
デザイナーの小野豊ーさんがテキスタイルデザインを手掛け、主宰する染工房。
主に日本の伝統的染色技法である型染（かたぞめ）や
筒描（つつがき）を用いて布を染め、衣服やのれん、手ぬぐいなど日々の暮らしの布を中心に制作しています。
よつめ染布舎は神社の幟や寺の幕を染めてきた家業を原点に、型染という技法と向き合いながら布に文様を染めてきました。
それは単なる装飾ではなく、土地の記憶や祈り、人々の営みに根ざしたかたち。
そのかたちを現代の暮らしの中に生かせるよう、衣服や暖簾、日用品へと姿を変えて届けています。

月1回おこなって来たワークショップには今までも何人もの講師の方に来ていただき温泉染の領域を広げる内容でお届けして来ましたが、会期終盤にも特別なゲストをお呼びして開催します！
《講師紹介》
よつめ染布舎
小野豊一
型染（かたぞめ）や筒描（つつがき）の技法で主に布ものの染色を行う作家の小野さん。
ご実家も染色業。家業から受け継ぐ技術に、時代や暮らしにコミットしたデザインや表現をされています。
近年は注染や手捺染などの技術も取り入れつつアパレルの展開にも力を入れていて、作品が勢揃いのお店&工房が広島県呉市に新装開店したばかり。
《WS内容》
よつめ染布舎さんが約10年間、大分の国東半島に拠点を構えていた間に生み出してきたデザインで温泉染てぬぐいを制作します。
大分に所縁のあるデザインの型紙を数種類ご用意していますのでお好きなデザインを選び、型染の工程を小野さんにレクチャーして貰いながら参加者自身で作業をしていきます。
当日は型染において最も肝となる糊作りと糊置きの工程まで行い、糊が乾いた翌日以降に所長が柿渋で染め、参加者の皆様のもとへ郵送します。
一線で活躍され続ける小野さんに色々お話しお聞きしながら共にお時間を過ごしましょう。
《留意事項》
よつめ染布舎さんのオリジナルの型紙を使用しますが、染め色は画像最後の色での仕上がりになります。
温泉に持っていくと、泉質ごとに色が変化する温泉染仕様となります。

新緑が美しく風が心地良い季節。よつめ染布舎さんのポップアップを開催させて頂くことになりました。
ちょうど一年前に大分から広島へ移り、4月18日には呉市川尻町に実店舗であるすずめ草をオープン。型染という伝統を受け継ぎ、新しく斬新なデザインを吹き込んだよつめ染布舎さんの作品の数々は力強くも心地よくわたしたちの暮らしに馴染みます。ぜひこの機会に「伝統」と「今」に触れてください。
今回デザインさせていただいたアートヴィジュアルは花布（はなぬの）という柄になります。暮らしの中で心癒される花や植物をイメージした文様で、風薫る季節にぴったりのすてきな文様です。このオリジナルの文様を合羽刷りという技法を用いて着色していくワークショップも開催しますのでぜひご参加ください。
