It’s a three-part plaster mould so we can keep the beautiful design at the bottom of the jar.
Here, Jake is making a silicone mould of each plaster mould part. This lets us pour plaster directly into the silicone moulds to create multiple copies, rather than making a new mould each time.
The result: not too bad but not good. There a still thin spots but looks much better. These will be heading to the seconds section at our next market.
We missed our first anniversary and now our second one is coming up. Looking back at my camera roll, this sketch of our logo popped up. June 15 2024. Our first market was at in July and website launched in September.
We had a lot of luck to get to where we are and cutting through the algorithm. I’m pretty sure we had an angel at Broadsheet who saw potential in this silly pair and we owe that fact that we can even call this a business to her.
