It started as the perfect camping trip. Dadโself-proclaimed Grill Master Extraordinaireโwas in his element.
The man had one job: cook the burgers. Thatโs it. A simple, straightforward task. But in true dad fashion, he managed to turn it into a full-scale campground catastrophe ๐คฏ
The grill? Perched proudly on a plastic folding table. A PLASTIC table. When questioned about this bold choice, Dad waved a greasy spatula in the air and said, โItโs fine"
Famous last words.
At first, everything was going great. The burgers sizzled ๐ When he went to flip them, it was already too late.
The grill had sunk into the plastic table like quicksand. Fusing together into some ungodly BBQ-table mutant, like a rejected Transformer named "Grillatron."๐ค
Medium rare burgers, extra well-done table.
Now, a normal person might have accepted defeat. But not Dad. Oh no.
He grabbed that grill with both hands and started reefing on it like a man fighting for his life. ๐ช Veins popping. Knees bent. Face turning red. He yanked. He twisted.
Nothing. The table held on like a clingy ex that refuses to let go.๐
But Dad wasnโt about to be outmuscled by a piece of patio furniture. Oh no. He took a deep breath, squared his shoulders, and went in for the final boss battle.
ONE. FINAL. PULL.
Still nothing.
So dad whipped out his trusty X-Acto knife, like he was about to perform a life-saving surgery. He carved around the grill, sweat dripping, eyes narrowed in pure dad determination. The kids watched in awe. Mom filmed for future blackmail.
And finallyโpop!โthe grill was free!
โฆExcept now, it had a thick layer of molten plastic fused to the bottom. And the table? It now had a gaping, smoldering hole in the middle, like it had been personally attacked by a blowtorch.
โStill good,โ Dad said, flipping a burger onto a bun like nothing happened.
Mom stared in horror.
