[For Miss Chinese Vancouver 2021]
Over the past three months, I learned a lot about myself, as the pageant forced me out of my comfort zone. It forced me to confront myself in ways I didn't think I was ready to face and dig deep into understanding who I am and what I want out of life.
In addition to the immense internal and existential growth I've endured, I’ve made 7 new friends who I am so grateful I got to experience this journey with. 爱你姐妹们 ❤️
I also wanted to thank my coach for pushing me to reach new heights I never thought I could reach when it comes to understanding fitness and nutrition. There was no strict requirement to train and eat healthy, but I figured what better reason to push my body to new limits than having to dance in a bikini for a live audience 😅
I also want to thank for supporting my performance and creative process. I have truly learned to fully embody the essence of being an artist and couldn't have done it without your support.
And to all the crew working behind the scenes, thank you so much for all your hard work. I know I can be stubborn in my artists ways so thank you for being patient with me.
And last but not least, I want to thank my friends for standing by me the very moment I began this crazy beauty queen journey, and for being my emotional lifeline when the pressure started to build. It is an honour to be your pageant friend 👸🏻
Although it has officially been a month since the pageant I think I'm still trying to process everything. So in attempts to close out such a huge chapter of my life, I guess…this is my love letter to the whole experience.
