これまで、テクノロジーを用いた作品を発表しながら、進歩主義や資本主義に対して批判的なまなざしを投げかけてきたやんツー。本展では、AIを搭載したドローンとカタパルト（投石器）が言葉を交わし、その対話の内容に呼応して動作する演劇形式の新作を発表。哲学者ベルナール・スティグレールの思想を手がかりに、AI時代の身体とテクノロジーに問いかけることとは？

2年に一度、東京都が主催する中堅作家に与えられる賞で、今年度は海外活動が支援され、リサーチ／制作期間を経て2028年の1月に東京都現代美術館にて新作を発表します。展覧後、3年目にモノグラフ（作品集）を制作といった流れで、3年間に渡り活動支援が得られる、中堅作家にとってこれ以上ない、手厚いサポートを受けられる助成プログラムです。ちなみにもう一人の受賞者は潘逸舟さん
2021年ごろから「脂の乗った中堅美術作家」とSNSのプロフィールに半ば自虐的に記載してたのが、自称ではなく事実になってしまいましたが、改めて覚悟と自覚と責任を持って、しかしあくまで楽しむ事を忘れず、美術家として変わらず邁進してまいります。
これまで、活動をサポートしてきてくれた全ての方々に多大なる感謝を、この場を借りて御礼申し上げます。そしてこれからも何卒よろしくお願いします🙏
I’m thrilled to announce that I have received the Tokyo Contemporary Art Award — “TCAA 2026–2028” — in its 6th edition! Following the award announcement on February 18th, I attended the award ceremony and symposium today at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (MOT)
This biennial award, organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, is given to mid-career artists. This cycle includes support for international activities, and following a period of research and production, I will present new work at MOT in January 2028. After the exhibition, a monograph will be produced in the third year — making this an exceptionally generous three-year grant program that offers mid-career artists an unparalleled level of support. The other recipient is Han Ishu.
Since around 2021, I had half-jokingly described myself in my social media bio as “fresh mid-career artist” — and now it seems that self-deprecating label may have actually become true. With a renewed sense of commitment, self-awareness, and responsibility — but without ever forgetting to enjoy making — I will continue to move forward as an artist.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported my practice along the way.
オープンして最初の週末までで既にたくさんの方々にお越しいただいて喜ばしい一方、3月1日にアメリカとイスラエルがイランに攻撃を開始したというニュースが飛び込んできて、とてもタイムリーな作品になってしまった。なんて思ったりもしますが、元々戦争、紛争、軍事侵攻は世界で起きていて、まだかろうじて起きてない日本とそこまでの距離であったり、それに貢献する普段我々の生活の中にあるテクノロジーについて考え、捉え直す作品というつもりで制作しています。こんな作品見るくらいなら現実直視した方が何倍もグロテスクで凄惨である、という声はごもっともですが、ニュースやSNSのタイムラインに流れてきてはすぐに消費されてしまう情報としての現実ではなく、フィクションだけど物理的でよりリアリティを帯びた何かであり、その距離を縮めるオルタナティブな方法として機能する事を信じています。
ともあれ、今回かつてないほど多くの協力者と共に制作できて本当に楽しかったし心強かったです、心から感謝しております🙏 故に、キャリアのターニングポイントになりそうな良い展覧会になりました、是非目撃してください！
While I'm delighted that so many people have already visited the exhibition in its first weekend since opening, the news that the United States and Israel launched an attack on Iran on March 1st has made this work particularly timely. While I sometimes feel that way, I intended this work to make people think about the distance between Japan, where wars, conflicts, and military invasions are still occurring around the world and barely avoiding them, and the technology in our everyday lives that contributes to this. Some may rightly say that facing reality is many times more grotesque and gruesome than viewing a work like this, but rather than reality as information that appears on news and social media timelines and is quickly consumed, I believe that this work, while fictional, is something physical and more real, and functions as an alternative way to close that distance.

「浮遊する器官｜Flying Organs」と題して、2022年から続くロシアのウクライナ侵攻において、戦場で実際に兵器として使われている民生ドローンDJI Mavic 3と、人類が紀元前から現在まで使用してる兵器である投石器（カタパルト）が対話を繰り広げるインスタレーション作品を発表します。
BUGのキュレーター野瀬さんはじめ、コキュレーションにBnA Alter Museum展示ディレクターの筒井くん に早い段階から参加してもらい、議論を重ねて作品を構想してきました。そして今回も複数の強力な制作協力者に参加してもらい、現在着々と制作が進行しております。そしてフライヤーのデザインは小池アイ子さん
今年が停滞していたというわけでは全然ないけど（厄年ではあった）、来年は飛躍あるいは変化の年になる予感。そのスタートを切る新作展になるはずです、是非ご期待ください！

やんツーはこれまで、AIやセグウェイといったテクノロジーを用いた作品を発表しながら、進歩主義や資本主義に対して批判的なまなざしを投げかけてきました。
本展にて、やんツーはテクノロジーの在り方と、それが引き起こす現状に私たちがどう向き合うかを問いかけます。BUGの天井高（7.2メートル）を存分に活かし、AIを搭載したドローンとそれを撃墜しようとする装置たちが対話を重ねる新作をぜひご覧ください。

私は11年前、今回の展示キュレーターである四方幸子さんがキュレーションした第一回目の札幌国際芸術祭で発表した菅野創との共作《SEMI-SENSELESS DRAWING MODULES》をソロ名義の作品として改変した作品《(con)sequences #2》を出展してます。（#1は2023年にPARCELにて発表。）
一つのパネルにドローイングモジュールが一体マウントされており、人感センサーとマイクの入力よって動き方を変え会期中にドローイングがその場で描かれていきます。展示されている場所の環境パラメータに加えて機械固有の物理特性特性（手作業によるちょっとした誤差だったりバグ）が線として蓄積されていき色面になっていきます。
最近はめっきりドローイングマシンの制作／発表機会が減ってますが、10年前はこの手の自律型のドローイング装置を軸に活動しており、元になった作品は三上さんが亡くなる直前の2014年10月に多摩美で学生向けにプレゼンさせてもらったりしていて、評価してくれていた（らしい）ということもあり今回展示することになりました。
MYAFの撤収から間髪入れずにこっちの展覧会準備に取り掛かり、アトリエに籠り満身創痍で徹夜で機械と格闘するという、まるで講評前の学生みたいな状態でした（なんなら三上さんに見られてるような気もした）が、同時に三上さんとのやり取りを振り返り、過去の自分と向き合う良い時間になりました。
基本、一作家一作品なので点数少ないですが出展作家すごい面々でかなり見応えありです、是非お運びください🙏（11月22日まで）

TEFCO (Tokyo Electricity Farming Community) is a project that aims to cultivate energy literacy and open up alternative pathways of perception by trying to make as electricity generators ourselves from scratch, rather than bestow electricity as an essential infrastructure for modern human, which is mass-produced through unclear processes by power companies. Without being constrained by rationality, convenience or productivity, we will actively implement ideas from an artistic/aesthetic (redundant) perspective, and ultimately build a “power plant” as an another public space inside of a museum or gallery. Through “cultivating” electricity with our own hands, we will recover our lost imagination for electricity and power generation.
In TEFCO vol.2, same as in vol.1, a gravity-powered generator/storage uses potential energy was created. The design of the electricity-generating tower, which will stand 6 meters tall, was commissioned to the architectural unit dot architects, and the tower itself will be constructed from wood. Solar panels have been installed in the courtyard of the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, and the electricity for the TEFCO exhibition area is entirely off-grid and generated by solar power system. When the viewer presses a button, the two motorbikes hanged with belt are raised, and when they reach the top, they fall and generate electricity. Although the amount of electricity generated is only 5V, viewers can take/collect electricity which generated as an artwork by charging their smartphones, etc.
