実家が関東にあるわたしにとって、たまに会える家族との時間は貴重だ。
だけど、一年に何回かしか会えない親・姉妹とは、「昔は同じ家に暮らしていたんだよな…？」というくらい、今となっては趣味や考え方は別方向にいっていたりする。
それもそのはず、わたしは18歳で一人暮らしを始めたし、それからほぼ実家に住んでいない。家族と2.3日旅行に行くことはあれど、気づけばもう20年別の生活をしていることになる。20年もあれば、そりゃ色々変わるよなあ。
そんな家族に、お父さんに、父の日に毎年感謝の気持ちを贈る。果たして今の父は何が好きなんだろうと頭を巡らせても、いいアイデアが浮かばない。娘から、遠く離れた父へのプレゼントというのは、案外わからないものだ。
（もちろん、娘からもらったらなんでも嬉しいに決まっているというのは充分承知している🫶笑）
そんな父とも、会えば一緒にコーヒーを飲むし、その時間がなんだかいいなあと毎回思う。「毎朝飲む？」とか「よく行くお店ある？」とか、一杯のコーヒーからいろんな話が広がる。

父と息子ふたり、3人で砂浜に潮干狩りにいった先日。
『ぼくたちが貝をいっぱいとってきて、かかはうれしいでちょ？ぼくたちも、かかがおいしくしてくれて、うれしいでちょ？だから、うれしいとうれしいで、ありがと！』
な、な、なんて優しい言葉たち。そんなこと言ってくれて、かかはうれしいうれしいうれしいでした。
そのへんの平らな道でも転びまくる1歳児と、ずんずんと先に行っては傷だらけになる4歳児。ふたりを連れて足場の悪い潮干狩りにいくなんて、想像以上に大変に決まっている。（しかもこれが2回目。）
バケツいっぱいにアサリを持って帰ってきてくれた夫に、ありがとう、大変だったでしょうと言うと、『最高にたのしかったぜ！』と100%で返してくれる夫。
いつまでもきらきらしてる、まぶしいぜ夫。

なにがあってこうなったんだけ。わたしも、きっと本人も覚えてなんていない（笑）
ただ、こんなとき「困ったな、泣きたいのはこっちだよ〜」と思っていたいつかの私も、笑ってシャッターを切れるくらいには少しだけ余裕のある母になれた、気がする？
泣かれても理不尽でも、毎日この子たちに胸を鷲づかみされる、困ったな。

I wonder what happened to make things this way. Neither I nor they probably remember (lol).
But, the me who used to think, "Oh no, I'm the one who wants to cry!" in situations like this, has now become a mother with a little more composure, enough to smile and take a picture.
Even though they cry and it's unreasonable, these kids grab my heart every day. It's a problem.

春の連休、毎日が色濃く、瞬く間に過ぎ去った。

見たことのない行ったことのない土地の空気や風土を感じて、たちまち親近感さえ覚えてしまうような、そんなひと時でした。

男子中学生7人が泊まりに来てくれた。
夕食をみんなで作ると、「1歳の子が食べるなら、もっと小さいほうがいいね」と息子のことを思いやってくれたり、いつもいつも私を気にかけて「なにか手伝うことはありますか？」と声をかけてくれる13歳。
運動部が多くまるで高校生？というくらい体は大きく、いつも半袖半ズボンで（いつも寒くないか心配してたわたし笑）、友人同士でキャッキャと戯れる姿はまだ幼く見えて本当に可愛くて。
別れる直前、ほんとに楽しかったですと伝えてくれて、帰りのバスの中からは立ち上がって、手をぶんぶん振ってくれて。上手に言葉にできないけど、本当に良い時間でした。なんて可愛いんだ〜。
朝晩と、家族も入れて11人分のご飯を作って、お米は一食一升！大家族の母ちゃん気分。
子どもが小さいうちは難しいのかなと思っていたことも、夫&子どもたちのおかげもあって嬉しい機会に恵まれている。みんなに感謝！

自分で鳴らすことはほとんどなかったけど、改めて鐘を鳴らしてみると、まるでガラポン抽選会でなかなかいい賞が当たったかのような気持ちが味わえそうです。（思い切って勢いよく鳴らすことがポイントです。）
鐘もいい音ですが、動画にたまたま収録されたウグイスが何よりいい声です。自然界の音色には敵いませんね。
