At Longhorn, we believe strength is more than the work we do — it’s showing up for the people who’ve sacrificed for our communities and country.

We’re proud to support and the incredible work they do providing mental health support, resources, and hope to veterans, first responders, and their families.

Supporting organizations like this means standing behind those who’ve spent their lives standing up for others. 🇨🇦
During Mental Health Week, we are proud to share the story of Chris Veech.

After 25 years as a correctional officer, Chris was carrying the mental and physical weight of his profession. Through our Trauma Resiliency Training (TRT), he found the tools to move from survival to strength - and went on to graduate from our Train the Trainer program to help his peers.

Chris’s journey is a powerful reminder that mental health education is essential for the long-term health of our Trauma Exposed Professionals.
Please join us in thanking Kawartha Lakes Firefighter Paul Griffin who ran 100km yesterday in full gear, raising nearly $15,000 in support of our programs. There were no shortcuts, no gear changes....just one long, challenging day fuelled by purpose, grit, and community support.

We’re grateful for our national community of supporters. Collectively, we’re reducing stigma and removing barriers to care that prevents access to the training and counselling services our Trauma Exposed Professionals and their families need and deserve.

An OPP officer was killed while on duty along Highway 401 in Cobourg this afternoon. Our thoughts are with the officer’s family and with OPP members during this devastating time.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all delegates and sponsors for making the 2026 Ontario First Responder Mental Health Conference such a meaningful and impactful experience.

With over 600 participants from across the public safety community, the event fostered valuable connections and thoughtful engagement on a wide range of topics related to the psychological health and safety of those who keep our communities safe.

We’re looking forward to our Atlantic conference in June!
On Vimy Ridge Day we reflect on the many special visits we’ve made to Vimy as part of our Battlefield Bike Ride. Today, we pause to honour and remember the service and sacrifice of the members of the Canadian Corps who accomplished what was thought to be impossible. The victory came at a heavy price with 3,598 Canadians killed and over 7,000 wounded.

Lest we forget. 🇨🇦
March 16th is a difficult day for the Edmonton Police Service. It’s a day we pause to honour the service and sacrifice of Constables Travis Jordan and Brett Ryan who were killed in the line of duty, having served their community with distinction. Our thoughts are with their families and all members of the EPS on this difficult day. #heroesinlife
Our thoughts are with the family of Sgt Cleroux and all members of the Ottawa Police Service following this devastating loss. We mourn his passing and will be there to support his family and colleagues anyway we can. #heroesinlife
Vancouver Island, you didn’t just reach our goal, you shattered it. 💙

Our goal was $250,000 and together, we’ve raised over $280,000!

Because of you, members of our community now have access to life-changing mental health programs through, completely free of charge. Every donation, big or small, has created real hope and real support for those who need it most.

The campaign runs until March 31st, and there’s still time to make a difference. If you want to see the programs helping Trauma-Exposed Professionals and their families heal and move forward, visit the Wounded Warriors Canada website.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
