Fantastische dagen in Marokko gehad met de leukste familie! ❤️
Samen met maakten we een 14-daagse roadtrip door dit prachtige land. Omdat we midden in een verbouwing zaten, hadden we weinig tijd om alles zelf uit te zoeken en te plannen. Waar wij normaal gezien heel veel tijd in steken!
Het was daarom mega fijn dat alles al geregeld was. Van de route en accommodaties tot alle activiteiten. Het vliegtuig in en meteen genieten! Bij deze reis was o.a. een boottocht in Tortuguero, een bioluminescentie kayaktocht en een Corcovado tour inbegrepen. Allemaal hoogtepunten van de geweldige reis!
We kregen onze eigen 4x4 met daktent mee en sliepen op de mooiste plekjes, zoals een aantal nachten onder de palmbomen op het strand maar ook aan de voet van de Arenal vulkaan. Zelf rondreizen met je eigen auto is wat mij betreft echt de beste manier om het land te ontdekken. De vrijheid om te stoppen waar en wanneer je wil en ook plekjes buiten de gebaande paden te vinden.

Na héél veel twijfelen over de houtlook vonden we precies wat we zochten bij. In de showroom werden we meteen verliefd op de kleur S185 Quercia.
Daarna gingen we op zoek naar een maatwerk keukenzaak die onze ideeën kon uitwerken, en gelukkig kwamen we uit bij. Ze dachten super fijn mee om alles binnen budget te houden en hebben de keuken super opgeleverd!

Na onze reis door Sri Lanka begon in april het volgende avontuur: onze zoektocht naar een koophuis.
Na heel wat bezichtigingen vonden we eindelijk een plekje dat meteen goed voelde. Een huis in een rustige straat, dichtbij familie, op loopafstand van de winkels, het bos én het station. Er moet nog flink wat gebeuren zoals je ziet, maar die uitdaging gaan we graag aan! 🛠️💪🏼
Ondertussen is de muur tussen keuken en woonkamer er al uit, vloerverwarming ligt erin en de eerste afspraken bij keukenwinkels zijn gemaakt! 😊
De zomer afgesloten in het zonnige Andalusië! 🌞 We sliepen tussen de olijfbomen bij Sierra de las Nieves, via, een prachtig plekje op 45-60 min. rijden van Málaga en andere leuke plekjes!

• Mijas (1-3) – Schattig wit bergdorp met smalle straatjes, leuke winkeltjes en mooie uitzichtpunten. Lekker lunchen kan bij Koco Bistro ✨
• Ronda (4-6) – bekend vanwege de indrukwekkende brug en de diepe kloof. Ga naar BlackCoffee voor de lekkerste ijsjes 🍨
• Caminito del Rey (7-10) –
Prachtig wandelpad langs steile rotswanden, wat mij betreft een must-do! Reserveer tickets ruim van te voren. Ga na de hike lunchen en zwemmen bij Restaurante El Mirador Ardales. 🥘
• Setenil de las Bodegas (12) – Bijzonder dorpje waar de huizen in de rotsen zijn gebouwd 🪨
• Málaga (13-15) – Heerlijke stad voor een dagje shoppen, terras hoppen en sightseeing 🌺 ps. Proef de churros van Casa Aranda, thank me later;)
• Bodega Kieninger (16-17) Mooi wijnhuis met heerlijke wijntjes! 🍷

Een week vol kliffen, kastelen, surfen(pogingen), schattige dorpjes, dolfijnen, wijn en eindeloos veel pastel de nata! Elke dag was weer een nieuw avontuur die we eindigden op unieke overnachtingsplekjes midden in de prachtige Portugeese natuur 🌿

Maiden’s Cove, between Clifton and Camps Bay, is a stunning spot for sunset with views of the Atlantic and the Twelve Apostles. There’s a large parking area, or you can easily take an Uber. Since there are no restaurants or shops, pack your own snacks, drinks, and a blanket. 🥂🧺 Don’t forget a jacket—it cools down in the evening.
Arrive early to explore the tidal pool or just relax and enjoy one of Cape Town’s most iconic views!

The Rose Terrace at Vergelegen Wine Estate has a lovely English tea room feel, with a beautiful rose garden and amazing views of the wine estate ☕️🌹 I highly recommend to try the fresh scones with cream and jam here 🤤🍓
The estate itself is also perfect for a beautiful walk, with stunning gardens and vineyards to explore 🍇
