These fluffy cream soufflés look cute af but also actually taste good! Pretty desserts that don’t deliver are a crime 😩
Ngl I was a little worried at first because I’m in my 30s now, and my body will absolutely fight back if sugar is too aggressive, ahem 🥲 BUT the cream is super light and not overly sweet at all! 😋
The flavours are what really won me over. You can tell they’re using natural ingredients and real stuff, not artificial sweetness. The fruit flavours taste fresh, not fake or syrupy, and the matcha was MATCHA-ING 🍵 like earthy, fragrant 🙌
It genuinely feels like a taste of mood in every bite ☁️ whatever you’re in the mood for, there’s a flavour that fits 🤩
I fully inhaled the Hokkaido milk and matcha in one sitting and didn’t even realize what I was doing until the boxes were empty 🫠 No regrets thooo 😋
Flavours available:
☁️ Hokkaido milk
☁️ Mango diamond
☁️ Chocolate
☁️ Sea salt Oreo
☁️ Strawberry
☁️ Blueberry
☁️ Matcha
If you like desserts that are cute, fluffy, and won’t immediately put you into a sugar coma, is a win 😍
Thanks for the treats

is a cozy spot for great sushi and good vibes. Small space with just a few tables, but BIG flavor and even bigger heart. Ordering is super easy through the iPads at the counter, which is perfect for introverts like me 🤪 The whole place feels cozy, intimate, and welcoming and the team is BUSY nonstop making sushi while we sat there. Takeout orders just kept flying out the door 💨
And yes, there’s a cat mascot 😽 This little ball of energy adds so much personality and charm and honestly just makes everything feel lighthearted and fun 😍
What we tried:
🌸 Sakura Eel Roll: Top eel with avocado, tamago, and black rice inside; genuinely blown away by this one. So flavourful. Whatever magic they added to the eel??? And the black rice adds this slightly glutinous texture that I couldn’t stop thinking about 🤤 I really loved this roll. Never had anything like it anywhere else. Now I crave it ughhhh 😩
🌋 Volcano Dragon Roll: Salmon on top with eel, cucumber, avocado, tamago, tobiko, rice, and nori. Rich, indulgent, saucy energy. One of those rolls that disappears way too fast 😋
🥤 Classic Japanese drinks to go with sushi
Tomomasu Ramune Lemon
Tomomasu Ramune White Peach
Gotta have snacks after meal hehe
🍫 Pepero Almond
🍵 Pocky Green Tea
If you’re into cozy spots, creative rolls you don’t see everywhere, and places that clearly care about what they’re putting out, this one’s worth a visit. Dine in for the vibes, or order in when the sushi craving hits, either way, is doing something special 🙌

Cart noodles 車仔麵, an iconic Hong Kong street food that started from mobile carts, can now be found at, located on the first floor of Petit Potato at Empress Walk.
It’s a true choose-your-own-adventure. Pick your noodles, soup base, sauces, and a wide variety of toppings, plus classic Hong Kong-style snacks and drinks. You can fully customize your bowl or go with one of their preset options, and honestly, you can’t go wrong either way 🙌
If you’re indecisive, the Supreme Bowl is the move. It’s a massive, everything-included bowl that feels like the greatest hits all in one, in a portion that easily feels meant for sharing 🤯 This bowl has:
🐚 Abalone
🍗 Swiss chicken wings
🥩 Beef tendon
🥕 Radish
🥬 Lettuce
🍖 Pork hock
🥟 Shrimp wontons
🥩 Beef tripe
🐟 Deep fried fish skin (absolutely love this!)
We also tried the Hong Kong style curry fish balls and beef balls.
Gotta say, the deep fried fish skin completely stole the show. Super crispy on the outside, airy and light, and once it hits the soup, it soaks everything up without going soggy 😋And the radish is soft, tender, and fully infused with the broth, every bite bursting with flavour. One of those simple ingredients done so right it stays on your mind 🤍
Go hungry, you’ll want the full experience 🍜

Dark, cozy, late-night energy, bold colours, and decor that gave me modern yakuza vibes in a moody, cinematic way. The kind of place where sharing plates just makes sense, time softens a bit, and you stay longer than planned.
They are most popular for their $1 oysters every Tuesday and Wednesday 🦪
This time we tried:
🍹 Melona Bar cocktail: Sweet, nostalgic, and way too easy to drink. Such a fun way to start the night.
🍷 Sake sangria: Light, fruity, smooth, and disappeared faster than expected.
🌽 Honey butter corn: Flash fried corn on the cob glazed in honey butter. Sweet, buttery, slightly crispy, incredibly addictive.
🐷 Crispy pork belly: Deep fried braised pork belly with seaweed paste, ginger, and green onion.
🍚 Unagi risotto: Creamy risotto topped with BBQ eel, dried petite tomato, arugula, and julienne seaweed. Comforting but still interesting, very easy to keep eating.
🔥 Wara yaki salmon: Slightly seared using a straw-fired grill technique that gives it an unreal smoky flavour. Best enjoyed with a little salt, wasabi, onion, or garlic. Highly recommend this!
🍋 Yuzu cheesecake: Creamy cheesecake with a bright yuzu drizzle. Light, citrusy, and a perfect ending.
Happy hour includes select items at $10 or less.

is perfect for date nights, catch-ups that turn into hours, or any night you don’t want to rush home. It also made me think about how, after a long day of work, people in Japan would stay as long as they could in an izakaya, just eating, drinking, and letting the day slowly soften.

They are also the only spot in Toronto offering traditional kohakutō crystal candy. Beautiful, plant-based and crafted in small daily batches, with preorders available for larger quantities 💎
Beyond their signature desserts, Honoka also serves ohagi, house-made gelato and savoury onigiri, all made with the same attention to quality and flavour 🙌
I spent the afternoon upstairs in their minimalist café, warm, quiet and honestly the perfect winter nook ❄️ It has that soft, peaceful feeling that makes you want to settle in and stay a little longer 🥰
I tried:
✨ Hojicha Latte — smooth and nutty with a gentle natural sweetness. The roasted aroma feels like a warm hug on a cold day 🤤
✨ Yokohama Cheesecake — gluten-free cookie base, creamy cheesecake and a layer of red bean paste that adds warmth and depth. Finished with soft whipped cream and hojicha powder. So balanced and comforting 🤤
✨ Matcha Kanten Parfait — bouncy matcha jelly with layered textures in every bite. Deep matcha flavour yet light and refreshing from the kanten. I could easily finish a bigger cup 🤤
Their Kinako Mont Blanc is also back for the season, a beloved dessert fans look forward to every year 🌰
Honoka is a place that encourages you to slow down, breathe and savour something sweet with intention. Gentle flavours, beautiful textures and a cozy space to escape the winter chill 💛

This time we tried:
🥩 Cold & dressed beef in sauce with peppers: So appetizing from the first bite 😮💨 Well marinated with a gentle kick, tender and flavourful, the kind of dish that wakes up your appetite 🤩
🍯 Osmanthus glutinous rice stuffed lotus roots: I learned about this dish during my last visit to Shanghai and have been chasing that memory ever since. Chewy texture, rich brown sugar flavour, fragrant and nostalgic without being too sweet
🍅 Stir fried thick noodles with tomato and egg: I already love tomato and egg, but paired with their thick noodles, it’s next level 😋 Simple, hearty, and deeply satisfying. I finished the entire bowl without hesitation 🙌
🦞 Dawang seafood noodles with spicy oil: Loaded with fish fillet, scallop, crawfish, abalone, and green onion 🔥 Seafood is incredibly fresh, the spicy oil is fragrant and warming without being overwhelming, and the noodles soak up all that flavour beautifully. The portion is hugeeee and super filling. Recommend less spicy even if you can handle heat 🫡
🍵 Herbal tea
🍊 Orange soda

The buns are super fluffy, not too sweet, naturally fragrant, and dangerously addictive 😋 Plus they’re way easier on the gut, which honestly matters this time of year! ☝️

This spot is all about bold flavours, generous portions, and that comforting home-style feeling. The menu has a wide selection of classic Sichuan dishes, service is friendly, and everything comes out hearty and satisfying. We came hungry and still underestimated the portions. We only ordered 3 main dishes and couldn’t finish everything. They also have $15 daily specials, which feels wild in this economy wowwww 😳 Definitely a good place to come with friends and share a few dishes 🙌
We tried:
🍳 Smoked pork fried rice. Their smoked pork is made in-house every day and it really shows! Super savoury and fragrant, and the smoky pork was easily the highlight 😋
🌶️ 招牌海陆空香锅 spicy all in one pot. Crispy chicken on the outside, ham, very fresh shrimp, and rice cake that soaked up all the spicy sauce. Full of flavour without being overwhelming, and the spice level was comfortable even for my spicy-loving friends.
🥩 Stir fried beef with pickled pepper. Addictive with rice. The pickled pepper adds a nice tangy kick.
🍡 Glutinous rice cake with brown sugar. Strong brown sugar flavour and very chewy, perfect way to end the meal.
