Such a great time with them at this incredible place, and capturing it on a camera from the same era as the building felt like the perfect fit. Their style, the symmetry, and the mid-century architecture brought so much character to the session. A good reminder that intention is not just in what you do, but in how it’s captured.

Alaska is truly one of the most beautiful places to exist, and it makes the perfect place for an intimate wedding. The vastness, the quiet, the adventure, the wilderness, and getting to experience it all by helicopter on your elopement day takes it to the next level. Accessing remote places like this is such a surreal feeling, and something E & D wanted to share with their two sons.
E & D chose Alaska because it’s close to their hearts, and sharing new experiences in a familiar place was the main intention behind an adventure like this. When you choose a destination elopement, you’re choosing adventures, new memories, and moments that become part of your story.

This moment with S & H is from their Yosemite elopement, and it’s everything I love about this work. Yes, we set up this shot. Yes, the plan was cupcakes and champagne. But it’s the part where the spray went rogue, lost it laughing, and fully leaned into it… That’s the moment that counts! 🤩
These are the moments I chase and love to capture. The imperfect, the in-between, the real. But I also believe in a day that should be balanced. Guiding couples into intentional, well-composed frames, then stepping back, giving space for the unplanned moments and photos that take them right back to their special moments. Both these types of documentary & posed photos belong in the story.
This 30-minute pit-stop is just a glimpse into their two-day celebration, but it says so much about what it means to make space for memories like this. Their full day will be on the blog soon, so stay tuned!

This photo is just one piece of J & S’s two-day Yosemite celebration, but it captures so much of what I think makes destination weddings truly special. They chose a multi-day celebration, spending the first day with loved ones and the second morning together here at Glacier Point.
Destination weddings aren’t just about the scenery or where you end up. They’re about giving yourselves and your loved ones time to be present, to explore, to make memories in a beautiful place that means something to you. Slowing down is what makes space for moments like this to happen, and I’m a huge advocate for building in that breathing room, even on the busiest days.
