This birthday felt different from any I’ve had before. Normally, I count down the days, excited for a reason to gather my friends for a group trip somewhere new and/or exciting. But this year, I didn’t want a big celebration or an adventure. I just wanted to be surrounded by the people who truly love me—and that’s exactly what happened.
I’m incredibly grateful for this season of my life, even with the uncertainty of possibly being unemployed (you can check out for more on that). My village—near and far—has shown up for me in ways that are humbling beyond words. I had so many plans and goals for this year, and even though we’re nearly halfway through and I haven’t accomplished most of them, I still feel nothing but gratitude.
So cheers to June! I’ve stepped into this new month with hope, gratitude, and excitement for all the possibilities ahead.
