Oregon coast elopements have my heart and as a native Oregonian I feel like such an ambassador when I get to work with destination couples! I think there’s this feeling of nostalgia for me too- sharing the beaches I explored as a kid with two lovers from Ohio (or Chicago, or Alabama, or, or, or) who are choosing to start their forever here... it’s special, and I never take these opportunities for granted. Thank you for trusting me with your day & for these insane photos! Sis! Yes.

3 reminders for your Oregon coast elopement:

🩵 Don’t count on cell service. Lots of Oregon beaches don’t have service, so a) hire local vendors who are familiar with your ceremony location, and b) make sure everyone in your party knows when/where to meet.

🩵 Pack bug spray! We’re coming off of a mild Oregon winter, so this has the potential to be a brutal bug year. Yuck, but also, we can be prepared.

🩵 Tide charts are your friend! As someone who checks the forecast every single morning from bed, I can’t stress the importance (& excitement!) of knowing when to anticipate high and low tides on your wedding day. The ideal scenario is having your ceremony when the tide is going out (low tide), as opposed to when its coming in (high tide).

If you’re still reading this, hey, boo! Here are some of my favorite Oregon beaches: Taft, Neskowin, Cape Kiwanda, McPhillips & Arcadia.😌🌊🐚✨
We have the most breathtaking wedding venues in Oregon and ceremony spaces like speak for themselves; they’re postcards, and personally, I don’t think they require a total transformation- which is both good for a couple’s budget and great for my soul.

I’ve said it before, but I’m not a ballroom girlie. Give me a beautiful drive over the mountain and through the woods to Hood River any day! I want to be outside, touching grass, and arranging flowers in a way that feels painterly, not overly produced. Whispers of color and textures that melt like butter into the landscape. THAT’S my jam!

Woke up still dreaming about the newly renovated and can’t wait to get back to this office, and this canvas.💕
The prettiest pink flowers I’ve seen… ever? Something us Floral Designers don’t talk about, really ever, is that there are new flowers being introduced to the market all the time. It’s so exciting! These moderna ranunculus were bred in Northern Italy by a family who has been in the industry for four decades and is now on their third generation of flower farmers. These porcelain beauties are still in their trial phase and they’re so new that they don’t even have a name yet, and they may never go into production. Heather, I’m so grateful for the relationships you’ve built overseas and for giving me the opportunity to create with something so precious. Pinching myself!
It’s funny how giving away free wedding flowers has just sort of become a thing I do from time to time. It took years for a couple to finally take me up on the offer for free flowers if they’d agree to Steve Aoki cake their wedding guests, and when it finally happened it was ICNOIC. Last year I posted in my IG stories that I would do a couple’s flowers for free if they would hire my friends at G-Love who were getting into catering; I think I got a DM from a bride within a minute of posting that story, so I guess some offers just fly off the shelves. Incredible.

What will the next free flower proposal be… I do daydream about water balloon centerpieces! I think a couple with a water balloon reception would have *no problem* finding an enthusiastic Photographer. The trouble would probably be finding a venue who would allow it. Also, who’s handling the cleanup? Not me! 🤣

Anyway, just thinking out loud and appreciate you for hanging with me on this silly platform. Free morning coffee for the first five people who comment “Slip ‘n slide” on this post, ‘cause why not.🎈✌️😎✌️
Maybe if I just post this here and back away slowly I’ll “accidentally” manifest a funfetti wedding.

Do you know what they call sprinkles in Australia? Hundreds and thousands. I think that’s the most darling shit ever!

Anyway, universe, do your thing.🎊🧁🎊
To be so clear, I love white flowers. Like, LOVE! Casablanca lilies, hydrangea, and the clematis vine I was torn on. What do you think? Better with or without? Playing with all white flowers and shapes, because simplicity can be *the most* elegant.🤍
Moss, daffodils, and of the $150 worth of allium I bought, I used exactly one stem.🙃

Usually when I design an arrangement I have a vision or a shape in mind, but with this one I just sort of fell into a flow state. I worked it and reworked until I was happy enough and it felt balanced. Thank yooouuuu, lil’ allium! I knew I needed ya.🌿
Eight wedding color palettes to inspire you!

Creating a color palette for your wedding doesn’t have to be overwhelming or stressful or even a rule to abide by! Gone are the days of having to lock in your “three wedding colors” but rather layering a few colors you’re attracted to can help to create a sense of direction and style for your wedding. Together your wedding vendors will help weave your color palette through your day so everything feels cohesive & flows effortlessly- just like you intended.

Hey, wedding photographers, see some inspiration for your next styled shoot? 😏💐🎨✨✨
A moment for the table! Given my first choice, I’m choosing family-style catering all day- as a guest, but also as the floral designer at your wedding! There’s something so beautifully communal about passing platters of food to your neighbor and the opportunity for laughs and inside jokes is 10X’ed! It just goes down!

Okay, can I be super honest?

Most food at weddings is “fine.” It’s fine. You eat it, it’s forgettable, and you might even drive through Taco Bell on the way home. Please tell me I’m not the only one!

G-Love is literally turning what we’ve come to expect from dining at weddings on its head. Mark my words, they are changing the game. Dishes from I will always recommend are: The Crusty Avocado, Fingerling Potatoes (it’s the smoky crème fraîche for me!), Ensalata Bomba (who makes a salad with 100 ingredients?!), and my seasonal favorites- the Pork Belly Skewers and Bucatini 6.0. For dessert you *have to get* the Milk Chocolate and Whip-A-Licious. Both. I promise. For weddings they make perfectly sized portions for a dessert table!

Running back Cody & Leila’s day and family-style florals that I loved designing! Impactful and punchy flowers in unique vases from my personal inventory, but also, space for the food to be the star of the show. Plus! Ya’ll know folks need a place for their handbags and sunglasses on the table!

2026 couples, I’m SO excited for you and the possibilities!
It would be incredible if I could just be satisfied with AI generated images, but of course not. lol!

Still taking quiet moments & slow rolling into 2025 like 😌💭🌤️✨
