After 43 years of trading, this is truly the end of an era. Wild has been so much more than a shop - it’s been a place of community, creativity and connection for generations of people in Nottingham and beyond.
Over the past few years, we’ve done everything we possibly could to keep Wild going. We explored every option, including trying to find new owners to carry the torch forward. Sadly, in an incredibly difficult climate for independent retail in the UK, it hasn’t been possible. This hasn’t been an easy decision, and it’s one we’ve reached with a lot of thought and care.
What has been easy is recognising just how much Wild has meant - to our team (past and present), to our customers and to the city itself. We are endlessly grateful for the loyalty and support you’ve shown Wild over the decades. It has been part of so many lives, memories and moments, and that legacy will always matter.
As we move into this final chapter, we’ll be trading as normal until the end of day on 31st December (4:30pm). If Wild has been part of your story, we’d truly love for you to come in, see us, and share your memories with us one last time.
To mark this moment, we’ll also be holding a closing-down sale:
