The production, top to tail, was perfect in every way. I can't get over the lighting and set design. The acting is superb. And the singing was pitch perfect in every way.
There are three more performances, and I'm tempted to go back. But alas, I'm not aristocratic, and therefore I don't have idle time to spend lamenting that I'm aimless and dealing with male loneliness. At least I didn't kill my bestie in a duel. #spoilers
And there she was, part of the FORTI🎹🎹🎹IMO 2026 festival at the Zürcher Gallery, where I got to see the Urtext performance of this work.
I don't want to brag about this (especially because I've had conflicting thoughts and social media lately), but damn, I'm deeply thankful I live in New York City so I can hear these precious performances (and never drive in traffic again).
