Eating disorders can impact far more than food. They can disrupt sleep, hormones, sexual health, mood, and brain chemistry.
One major reason is serotonin — a key neurotransmitter connected to mood, sleep, and overall well-being. When the body is undernourished, serotonin levels can drop, which can worsen both physical and mental health symptoms and make eating disorder behaviors harder to break.
I was able to reach out to this brand and get free samples for some of my clients! So far this addition has been helpful for some.
One area that is lacking in sexual and reproductive health is how we are showing up for our non binary and GNC clients through their aging and menopause journey.
Hopefully we can get more resources and support for the intersection of sexual + mental health

However, the burden of micro aggressions and politics takes its toll.
Academia often asks Black women to exist in contraindication.
An when you fall outside the narrow expectations that PWIs place on you it can be jarring.
