Copenhagen's Black Diamond building was opened in 1999 as an extension of the Royal Danish Library, the building is covered in black granite from Zimbabwe and polished to mirror the harbor, sky, and city around it. Its sharp modern design contrasts beautifully with the historic old library behind it.
Free to visit and there's a few levels you can get views from - the Grand view from the top floor made me sweat profusely. Not one for heights.
