I remember thinking about what it must be like to know you’ve found your person, but never really knowing what that is suppose to look or feel like. For us it was just like everything made sense and things felt so natural and organic. For me, I knew he was the one when i felt safe in being completely transparent and vulnerable in a way that I’ve never been with anyone else.
Doesn’t mean things are always perfect, but when you’re able to adapt and adjust together as well as compliment eachother and balance one another out it creates space for something so beautiful to flourish. Super curious to know how you knew your SO was the one for you?

I think Italy left a lasting impression on both of us and was one of our absolute favorite trips in 2021. We’ve both said living abroad was a goal we’d love to accomplish. I think experiencing life outside of what you’re use to can be so freeing and we should all at some point experience being outside of our comfort zone. Experiencing new cultures, new people and places can have a huge impact on how you view and see the world. I also think this world is to big to not experience as much of it as we can in this lifetime.
Who knows what the future holds but could definitely see us living somewhere in Europe and traveling for awhile.
Knew this was coming but it didn’t hit til the day before and the day of. I tried keeping it all together and being strong for him, but reality kicked in quick that he was really leaving. Leading up to this moment for the past couple months it honestly felt like preparing to lose someone and that is one of the scariest things. I mean how do you truly prepare for that?!
I’ve been MIA trying to stay busy and occupied. Its hard not being able to hear his voice or know how he’s doing, but it’s all a part of the process. Josh will be graduating end of February and then he’ll be off to tech school for another 4 and a half months. Despite missing eachother we truly are excited for this next journey & can’t wait to see what’s in store, but being long distance without much contact is rough. Any words of encouragement or advice for long distance/military spouses are welcome! Pray for us lol.

I use to always here people say, “when you know, you know.” That statement never truly resonated with me, until it did. I remember Josh and I were on our first trip to the Dominican Republic for a mission trip in 2019. We had just started dating and we were laying in a hammock one night, stargazing and just talking about life. I randomly interrupted the conversation and just blurted out “we’re going to get married.” He sat there for a second, stared at me confused and quickly tried to change the subject lol.
I think when those words came out of my mouth it was a confirmation that I randomly received in that moment and chose to express it. After I said it, I was like, “he probably thinks I’m crazy, but I don’t care” lol. I’ve never had that feeling with anyone else.
In that moment I realized what people mean when they say “when you know, you know” it’s just a feeling — one that’s unlike any other. Fast forward 2 years later, we’re married lol. #IntuitionOnPoint

I remember as a kid I use to dream of going to Italy. I would see films or pictures of people on the gondolas riding through the canal and I was so mesmerized. I’d always imagine what it’d be like if I were to ever get the opportunity to experience it. I even wrote it down on a bucket list I created in highschool and to finally experience it alongside the love of my life felt surreal. It felt like I was in a movie. I was actually living out an image that was in my head as a little girl. & If I could, I’d go back in time and tell that little girl, “Even the dreams that seem so far fetched and unrealistic, it can and will become your reality.” So use this a reminder that no dream is too small and one day you will find yourself literally in the midst of the very thing you use to wish for.
Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.
