she always asked when i was coming back, every time i called. she missed me. and i miss her so much already. i will carry that weight with so much love it barely feels like weight at all.
8 months ago i lost my seeya. now she’s gone too. the two people who made me feel most like myself. grief and gratitude look the same from here. because how do you mourn something without being thankful it was ever yours at all.
she gave and gave and gave, to everyone, always, often forgetting herself in the process. i hope she knew how cherished she was. i hope somewhere in all of that laughter she felt as full as she made the rest of us.
