And yesโฆ I know ordering a korma is the most basic girl move imaginable ๐ BUT hear me out - this one was unreal. Creamy, rich, flavourful and honestly one of the nicest kormas Iโve ever had.
The butter chicken was incredible, the naan was soft and sweet, and those masala chips disappeared embarrassingly fast ๐

Big Banquet by Street Food Circus has landed at Caldicot Castle until Bank Holiday Monday - and honestly, we had a blast!
Think axe throwing, circus school, juggling shows, giant bubbles and some of the best street food in Wales. ๐ด
Our highlights:
๐ถ๏ธ Spice Bag - the GOAT. Never misses.
๐ Cacio e Pepe from - simple, comforting and always a winner (a British st food winner may I add ๐ฅ)
๐ฎ Birria Tacos from - still tasty, but didnโt quite have the flavour punch weโve had before.
๐ง Halloumi Souvlaki - decent, though a little parsley-heavy for us.
๐ฅค Raspberry Coolers - perfect in the sunshine.
๐ซ Chocolate Brownie & ๐ Key Lime Pie from - both great, but the brownie stole the show.

We were BEYOND excited to visit newly opened Platform - a buzzing street food melting pot packed with some incredible vendors, great vibes and seriously good food.
We tried a little bit of everything from Sharkbites, Dough Thrower, Italian Job, Llanfaes Dairy and drinks from Academy ๐ด

After hearing my parents rave about Food Anarchy Truck at the Aberglasney Christmas Market, I was beyond chuffed when Phil invited us down to try some of their legendary grub. And let me tell youโthis was next-level street food. ๐คค
Parked up in Kingsbridge, this food truck serves up proper indulgent bites, packed with bold flavours and top-quality ingredients. No wonder the locals flock here! ๐

๐ Crispy Chicken Vodka-Style Herby Focaccia โ Golden, crispy chicken with a creamy, rich vodka sauce, sandwiched in fragrant herby focaccia. Pure comfort food!
๐ Anarchy Burger (Double cheeseburger, bacon, lettuce, buffalo sauce, tomato, blue cheese dressing, crispy shallots, burger sauce, all in a brioche bun) โ This was absolute filth in the best way. Juicy, messy, cheesyโexactly how a burger should be.
๐ BBQ Brisket Loaded Fries โ Melt-in-your-mouth brisket, smoky BBQ sauce, and crispy fries. The perfect combo of crunch and tenderness.
๐ BBQ Pulled Pork Loaded Fries โ Sweet, smoky pulled pork piled onto golden fries, finished with a rich, tangy sauce. Insanely good!

If youโre looking for a Sunday roast that knocks it out of the park, Bistro 8 in Blackwood is the place to be. Every plate was an absolute triumph!

We had the Dry Aged Topside of Beef and Local Roasted Pork Loin, and WOW.
Picture this: Goose fat roasties with a golden crunch, buttered cabbage & leeks that tasted like a hug from Wales itself, garden peas bursting with freshness, swede mash so smooth it could be dessert, and honey-roasted carrots that were little bites of joy. Add to that a Yorkshire pudding big enough to frame your face, the most flavour-packed sausage meat stuffing, and the star of the show: bottomless pan gravy. Yes, you read that rightโbottomless. ๐
(We couldnโt resist the cauliflower cheese either. Creamy, cheesy, and utterly indulgent!)
