Just 20 minutes north of Aberdeen, Newburgh Beach is a beautiful stretch of sand known for its large colony of grey seals, often spotted resting along the shoreline or bobbing in the waves.
The beach sits right next to Forvie National Nature Reserve, with huge sand dunes, coastal walks, and loads of birdlife, so there’s plenty to explore even if the seals are feeling shy.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
