I had a clear vision for this shot. When I clicked it I knew it would look exactly how I wanted it to and I just knew I was going to print it. Fast forward 3 year, I’ve printed it a few times in different variations and finishes. I’m still in awe of it when I see it 😀
I feel like one of the highest achievements you can experience as a photographer is having your work in people’s homes. Idk it feels very personal and I haven’t really gotten that sense of fulfillment doing anything else in the photo world.
What a privilege it’s been to see some of the most incredible places on the planet and turn them into a physical pieces. I really want to get back out in the world and capture some more gems I can print and share.

Back in 2023 I got to visit the now famous Socotra island with some friends of mine. Back then there definitely wasn’t as much content out there from this place so we didn’t have much reference. We were searching for compositions, figuring it out as we go. A real photography adventure. In many ways it felt like we were pioneering photography on this otherworldly island. Those were the days 💭
