The Hall of Famer has joined Wagner College as a volunteer strategic advisor, where he’ll help guide the program across NIL strategy, marketing, player development, and broader business opportunities around the team. His son, Laymen McGrady, is also transferring to Wagner after redshirting last season at Oral Roberts.
McGrady said the role is “beyond wins and losses,” with a focus on helping athletes grow both on and off the court as the college sports landscape continues evolving.
Wagner College has named Tracy McGrady Strategic Advisor to men’s basketball. McGrady will advise the College on the development of sustainable structures related to NIL and provide strategic guidance in areas including marketing and player development while expanding Wagner’s reach.
