1990년대 중반 뉴욕 언더그라운드 문화 속에서 등장한 버나뎃 코퍼레이션은 파티와 패션, 출판, 문학을 자유롭게 넘나든 집단이다. 이들은 패션 라인 제작과 《Made in USA》 잡지 창간을 거쳐, 2004년에는 집단적 익명 글쓰기를 통해 소설 『리나 스폴링스』를 발표했다. 그들은 ‘작가’와 ‘브랜드’, ‘상품’과 ‘예술가’의 경계를 교란하며, 정체성과 권위, 예술 제도의 고정성을 해체하는 실험적 전략을 펼쳤다. 특히 리나라는 인물은 젠더와 사회적 역할의 불안정성을 드러내며, 포스트구조주의적 페미니즘과도 맞닿아 있는 존재이다.

김무영은 서울을 주요 기반으로 활동하며 현재 파리에 거주 중인 미술 작가이다. 그는 상반된 욕망의 조응에 관심을 갖고 무대, 카메라, 벽 설치를 반복적으로 사용한다. 최근에는 무대 장치의 작동 원리나 직접 만들기를 바탕으로, 미학화된 피해자성과 자발적 수동성 사이의 폭력적 균열에 주목하고 있다.
김여명은 서울에서 큐레토리얼 실천과 글쓰기로 활동한다. 여명의 작업은 다른 리얼리티를 소환하는 일에 주목한다. 전시 《무저갱》(2022)과 《크림》(2020)을 만들었고, 《코스》(2025)를 총괄 기획했다. 두산갤러리 큐레이터 워크숍(2024), 부산비엔날레 큐레토리얼 워크(2022), 인천아트플랫폼 큐레이터 스쿨(2021)에 참여했다. 캐주얼 미술 비평 서비스 앱스(abs)의 공동 운영자. 유령회사의 설립자. 시험에 드는 것을 좋아한다.
조은정(이하 제니조)은 서울과 뉴욕을 기반으로 활동하는 회화 작가이다. 그는 교차문화적 맥락 속에서 새로운 이주 세대 회화 작가의 모호한 주체성을 탐구하며, 차용, 시대착오, 관계성 등을 매개로 이를 회화라는 매체 안에서 확장하는 작업을 이어가고 있다. 최근에는 『여성회화 글쓰기 총서』를 기획해, 여성 회화 작가들의 글쓰기 실천을 소개하고 있다.
한지형은 회화 작가이다. 디스토피아적 미래를 배경으로 세계의 종말과 폐허의 풍경 속에서 등장하는 새로운 존재 양식을 탐구한다. 특히 인간과 비인간의 경계를 넘나드는 ‘변종’ 이미지를 통해 변화된 몸과 그들이 맺는 관계, 연대의 가능성을 모색한다.
황재민은 미술평론가이다. 웹진 앱스(abs)를 공동 운영한다. 단행본 『호버링 텍스트』(2018, 미디어버스) 공동 편집, 전시 《M.C.V.》(2025, 중간지점 둘) 등에 참여했다.
