Performing Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at the Dubai Opera, with Polish National Opera Orchestra conducted by Patrick Fournillier, was an experience I will never forget.
As a member of the choir, I felt the immense power of Beethoven’s music lifting us beyond sound—toward the Sacred.
In the final movement, his setting of Schiller’s Ode to Joy becomes a vision of humanity united in joy, peace, and brotherhood.
“Alle Menschen werden Brüder,
Wo dein sanfter Flügel weilt.”
(All men become brothers
Where your gentle wing abides.)
It is a call to rise above division, competition, misery and material hardship, and to embrace a higher, spiritual sense of unity and compassion.
Beethoven, in the final chapter of his life — profoundly inspired by the wisdom of Sagittarius’ mastery — composed a work that we should listen everyday for creating peace in our hearts and so in our life.
His Ninth Symphony is a testament to the human spirit, a bridge and a guidance between earth and transcendence, and a reminder that joy is a shared gift of all mankind when Love finally can happen.

Being present at the 90th birthday of Maestro Vito Maria Brunetti was a privilege and a great joy for me.
At ninety years old, the Maestro continues to passionately transmit a singing school that has marked history.
His teaching is based on the support and lunge technique developed by the Italian maestro Arturo Melocchi, then passed down by Leo Ferri, and today carried forward with passion and rigor by him.
Among Melocchi’s students we remember the tenors Mario del Monaco and Franco Corelli. 
🎶 Who was Arturo Melocchi?
An Italian pianist, teacher and vocal pedagogue, Melocchi revolutionized the technique of opera singing by introducing a method based on low and diaphragmatic breathing and the use of the “chest” voice even in the highest registers. His technique allowed a powerful and natural projection of the voice, without forcing, and formed some of the most legendary voices of the 20th century, including Mario Del Monaco and Franco Corelli.
A technique that, if learned correctly, not only respects the physiology of the singer, but enhances his vocal authenticity, offering solidity, expressiveness, breadth and stage presence.
Among the students of Maestro Brunetti, today esteemed performers on the international scene, we find the tenor Samir Pirgu, the baritone Giulio Mastrototaro and Nicola Ulivieri, also a baritone, each living witness to the vitality and strength of this vocal school.

It is a setting of the poem Auf Flügeln des Gesanges by the German Romantic poet Heinrich Heine published in his Buch der Lieder in 1827.
The young lover invites his beloved to abandon herself to him to travel on the wings of Song towards the wonderful world of India, on the banks of the Ganges River, where the crystalline waters murmur, the roses bloom and the gazelles jump happily.
It is important to note how the charm of Indian philosophies, of the Upanishads, of the Bhagavad Gita, books translated into English and then into German starting from the end of 1700, was already widely spread, so much so as to create a Lied dedicated to the beauty of Indian landscapes.
India was considered the place of liberation of the soul, thanks to its ancient and still solid philosophies, bearers of light and knowledge.
The Lied is based on the repetition of volatile and versatile arpeggios, which well convey the idea of a strong and light flight, towards light places, to then describe the state of free and dreamy love in the finale.
