Unlike previous years’s birthday ritual this year I’m not going to talk about how I’ve moved or how many places I’ve visited cuz not a lot of that happened.
Since last week of July I’ve been dealing with another inflamed cysts and had to go through surgery again. It was in the same exact position and the pain was unbearable!
As I’m writing this now I’m in a much better health and in almost no physical pain but the toll the life has on us is sometimes too much that your body decides to do something about it. To shut down basically!
I don’t know what 33 will bring to me but I am desperately in need of calm and contentment.
I want to worry less about money. Want to feel less pain (emotionally or physically) and want to be in a much better place in my personal life and my career.
Throughout all of this I re-learned one thing one more time. That I have the best people around me. Honestly don’t know what I would have done without them ❤️
Hopefully next time I can be inspirational! Now the realistic side is winning! 😅❤️

Now think about something that rarely gets talked about.
People say we need to have hope. That a new chapter is coming.
That Israel isn’t targeting civilians — only government facilities.
Right. Wishful thinking. Beautiful words.
But let’s focus on something else.
Listen again to this video. Really listen.
This terror — this noise — is the reality our families and friends are living through right now.
They are so on edge that even the sound of a fridge making ice cubes makes them jump.
They can’t sleep. Every small sound rattles their nervous system.
Even if a better future comes, this trauma will never leave them. It will shape them forever.
Just like we were never the same after #WomenLifeFreedom, we will never be the same again.
We will carry this fear until we die.
A single unanswered message for 15 minutes will replay the trauma all over again.
I don’t know what the right path is.
Maybe war is the only option.
They say the body adapts. It doesn’t.
Every day from now on, our bodies will carry the pain.
The migraines. The panic attacks. The exhaustion.
We will see the signs of this trauma show up — years later — in our sleep, our skin, our health.
We don’t deserve this. Not in Iran. Not anywhere.
We don’t want a lot.
Just the chance to breathe freely.
To walk the streets without fear — of being mugged, raped, arrested, or killed by insiders or outsiders.
We just want to sleep peacefully. While we are alive.

All of this happened in just one year. I started as an Account Manager—a scared and insecure one. Then I became a Senior Account Manager—more confident. And now, I’m an Account Director and YouTube Lead—a bit nervous, but even more confident.
Did this all happen by chance? No. I worked relentlessly and fought for myself to make it happen. As an Iranian woman, fighting for my rights and opportunities has been a lifelong practice. But was it different this time? Absolutely!
This year, I had an incredible support system—my CEO, Tom; my manager, Alexandra; and my previous manager and bestie, Joe—who supported me every step of the way to ensure I succeeded and achieved my goals. ❤️
So, as we approach 2025, here’s my advice:
- Have that difficult conversation.
- Share that idea with your team, even if you’re shy.
- Help as many people as you can.
- Fight for your dreams just a little bit harder.
