🫀it’s all waiting there for you✨

What I didn’t post was that I spent weeks crying in the middle of this process.
Because I missed home. Because I felt guilty for being on the other side of the world while people I love were going through hard things. That I questioned almost every decision I made. That I felt lonely, overwhelmed, scared about money, my business and whether I was making the biggest mistake of my life.
And that’s exactly why I love this trend. It reminds us that two things can be true at the same time:
You can be living your dream and still struggle.
You can be grateful and homesick.
You can be excited and terrified.
You can love your new life while grieving your old one.
Instagram is a highlight reel. It always has been and even tho I share a lot of my life I still choose which glimpse you get to see. Some insights I share openly, some secretly, some I drop months after they happened and some never. And the fact is - it’s the same with every single account you follow.
Most people aren’t lying. You’re just seeing a single frame of a much bigger story, putting together the bigger picture.
So if you’ve ever looked at someone’s life online and wondered why yours feels harder, this is your reminder:
You are comparing your behind-the-scenes to someone else’s best moments.
By the way, I’m still moving to Australia. And even tho it’s been hard on me from time to time and probably still be, it’s worth it a hundred times over 🫀

It’s been two years since my last introduction post, and so much has changed that I don’t even feel like the same person anymore. So hi - to everyone who’s been here for a decade, joined a few months ago, or is brand new.
Right now, life feels unpredictable and full of change and growth - two things I used to fear but have learned to embrace. My world has always been a mix of wild adventures through my work as an international wedding photographer and quiet small-town roots from growing up in rural Germany. And honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s my very own Hannah Montana story 💁🏼♀️
So let me reintroduce myself as the person I am today, because even if you think you know me, there’s probably more to discover.
1) I am an artist.
Not just a photographer ( & ) anymore. Calling myself an artist has changed how I see my work and what I give back to the world. After 10 years behind the camera, I’m expanding my creativity and pursuing my passion for tattooing - stepping into life as a tattoo artist too.
2) Last year, I met my person.
In the most unexpected way, I met my boyfriend - my soulmate. We’ve faced challenges together, from old relationship wounds to cancelled travel plans and long distance across the globe. But Jaxon makes all of it worth it and if you’ve followed our journey you know what u mean. After a decade of photographing love stories, it finally feels like it’s my turn. I’m endlessly grateful for the joy he brings into my life.
3) I live both in Australia and Germany, and saying that out loud still feels insane.
Ever since my first trip to Australia in 2018, I felt a pull toward this country. Through my work I travelled the world, but nowhere ever felt quite like here. In 2024, after my last relationship ended, I decided to take the risk and just go for it. Two years later and with so many memories made, I can now say I live in Australia - with plans to move here permanently, while still returning to my home country every year to stay connected.

Meeting Jax didn’t feel like meeting for the first time, it felt like finally meeting again. Two souls that knew each other already so deeply that even if we wanted to, we couldn’t have parted ways completely.
What I haven’t shared yet is what happened after the day we met. Our time was limited to a week only. I had plans to travel the east coast and then probably return to Melbourne. Everything was booked, and I even left Brisbane - only for the universe to guiding me back to him five days after leaving. Not only that - he offered me and my friend, two people he just met twice, to stay at his house for the weekend, such a generous gesture that probably is the reason everything went the way it did.
The day we got back to his it started raining at night. We were dancing in his backyard in the rain, singing “umbrella” by Rihanna, giggling and we’re so full of life. It might sound insane - but we literally talked about soulmates that very weekend and, if you know me you know I wouldn’t say this lighthearted, a year later I’m even more sure that this man is my destiny and my person.
Cheers to a year of knowing each other in this lifetime. Cheers to many more ❤️🔥
For 6 months a year, Brisbane will be where I am based from now on and even tho I spent so much time there already, speaking about officially moving there for 6 months is INSANE to me and makes such a difference in how I perceive the upcoming year.
Each year around October I will make my way down there to be a big step closer to my dream life while I will come back to Europe around April to see Family, Friends and experience Euro Summer. Safe to say I’m terrified about all the upcoming changes, but I just have a gut feeling it’ll all be alright 🥹
