🟢I’m so proud of this costume I whipped together for Drag The Inn. I was inspired when listening to ‘s “fashion over function” and wanted to create an outfit that really constricted my movements.
🟡I wanted the whole look to be very illustrative. Like a sketch of a vase of flowers. I made the shapes on the skirt by over stitching the outside fabric to the lining and then cutting out the shapes. Putting the seams on the outside and stitching them over and over. I thought it created an interested outline of the skirt and made the proportions more dramatic.
⚫️The top is heavily inspired by Viktor and Rolf’s Spring summer 25 collection. It was fun figuring out how it might have been made and constructing it. I used upholstery foam to make the carving divers for my shoulders so it doesn’t teeter.
🔵I’ve been in such a creative dip for a while so it feels good to try something, really break it down and for it to work out.
