In September last year, renovations started in this flat from the 70ies. I wanted to pick up on the retro vibe and decided on tiles with a terrazzo look.
120x60 cm wall tiles made sure there was as few grouts as possible, 60x60cm for the floor gave us the opportunity to match the grouts of the wall.
Small details that makes the difference.

🌱 It can grow in pots and flower beds
🌱 There are plants for shade AND plants for sunnier spots. The ones that have multicoloured leaves deal with sun better than the ones with silvergreen leaves.
🌱 They disappear every winter (completely!) and arises like a Phoenix every spring to become this large decorative plant.
🌱 Beautiful flowers that are great for pollinators.
🌱 The leaves can be used in flower arrangements and last really long once cut.
The only sad thing I can think of with this plant is that the slugs like them. But my slugs like most plants so the struggle is real anyway…
