No matter what happens on the court, every single player must maintain balance. And balance in tennis is a very complicated matter because it’s dynamic.
You run, you move, the technique always changes, your stances change, the footwork differs. But one thing stays unchanged, and it gives the control to all our movement.
It’s the position of the head. The point is: if you can keep your head still throughout every single movement, you’ll be in balance. If your head starts to lean, shake, or move unnecessarily — the balance will be lost.
So watch this video closely, and pay attention to how little movements my head is doing. That’s what you should focus on during the next training session. Good luck!

I see players making decisions on the court every day. And way too often I see them making this mistake.
While getting stretched out, on the run, players decide to go straight down the line. They hit the ball out 95% of the time, and that ends the point.
Let me give you some better options to choose from.
Option 1: hit cross if you can. But it has to be a good one. Either deep and close to the sideline, or a shorter one that makes your opponent run.
Option 2: hit into the middle, as deep as you can, across the opponent’s body. Hitting in the middle reduces the opponent’s angles, while hitting across the body makes the opponent struggle to change direction.
Option 3: hit as low as you possibly can with a slice. The lower it bounces, the better. We’re trying to make the opponent squat down as much as we can in hopes that he makes a mistake.

I’m talking about something most amateur and club players struggle with every single time. Avoiding it is simple yet I see players missing into the net all day.
Think about it, there’s so much space above the net, and you still can’t hit the ball higher than those 3 feet.
The opponent on the other side doesn’t even have to move. He can simply close his eyes and let you do the work.
Now how do you fix this mistake? Two options: a bad one and a good one.
Bad one: you open the racket face and start hitting higher above the net by simply moonballing. Sounds bad, and it is bad.
Good one: you close the racket face, and throw your hand up over your shoulder as much as you can. This will create topspin and help you get the ball over the net, while keeping it inside the court.

I’ll give you a simple phrase to make the decision making process easy.
“Hit when you can, slice when you need to”.
When you’re stretched out — slice.
When the ball is extremely low — slice.
When the ball is very low and short — slice.
You get the logic. Most of your slices will be a solution when things aren’t exactly going your way.

If we look at the shot without any context, down the line on the run seems like the riskiest option. But here is the breakdown to make it a reasonable choice.
If I’m getting pulled out of the court so much, I know that the opponent is going to end the point with the next shot anyway. So if I decide to hit crosscourt, it’ll land straight onto a racket of my opponent. In 9 out of 10 times, the opponent will finish it.
However, if I have a chance of hitting that down the line shot, and saving the point, I might hit 2 out of 10 shots in. That means the down the line shot becomes my high percentage play. It can save me more points in the long run. Now, obviously, it all depends on the ball and the opponent. But keep this logic in mind next time you play.

Choosing the wrong ball to change direction has to be one of the biggest mistakes I see players make.
The difference between the two videos lies in me moving back, and changing direction while off-balance in a defensive situation. And, myself moving forward, stepping inside the court while changing the direction.
When you hit down the line, it’s supposed to be an aggressive shot. I can’t get aggressive if I’m on the defence.
So next time you play, try to follow the 80/20 rule. Change direction only when you feel solid with your feet 8 out of 10 times. And on the other 2 shots, let it rip, try to put on a show!

It’s this one. Pulling the opponent out of the court with your forehand or backhand, and then continuing the attack with the forehand.
In this video you can see the classical combination of using the forehand to open up the court, and finishing the point with a forehand into the other corner.
The main mistake I see in this combination is players pulling the opponent out wide, and then hitting the next ball into the middle. That itself creates a situation where you lose the dominance, and fail to realise the opportunity you’ve created.
So no matter what happens after you open up the court, try to hit into the other corner.

On Thursday I found myself in a room with people worth millions. People who build. People who create. And Kenichi Ohmae — the “Father of Strategy”.
Here’s what stuck—and how it connects to the thing I know best: tennis.
Lesson 1: MEN NEED STRUGGLE. TENNIS GIVES IT.
In a world that says “yes” to comfort, tennis says “try harder.”
It’s one of the last places that challenges you to grow. Men were made for the fight-not the scroll.
Lesson 2: WINNING ISN’T JUST POWER, IT’S PATTERN RECOGNITION.
Tennis and business both reward those who see patterns and adapt before the opponent does.
Lesson 3: THE MASCULINE SPIRIT IS FORGED THROUGH CREATING.
Real fulfillment isn’t found in screens. It doesn’t come from consuming.
Lesson 4: CREATIVITY IS THE LAST FRONTIER AI CAN’T TOUCH.
Your instincts, your presence, your passion -they’re what makes you unbeatable. Real. magic happens when you break the pattern.
Lesson 5: YOU EITHER QUIT OR YOU COMPETE.
Tennis teaches you to stay in the fire-even when it burns. An extremely useful skill for business.
So if you’re feeling stuck, uninspired, or unsure of who you are—pick up a racket. Step onto the court. Let the game challenge you, strip away your ego, and build you back up—one shot at a time.
Because in the end, it’s about becoming the kind of man who chooses to show up, struggle, and grow.
And that’s something no algorithm can ever replace.
Now it's time to prepare for a tournament for members of wealth club in Dubai in May.
See you on the court.
