Why don’t we talk more about food and cancer??? 📣

It’s something I’ve thought about a lot.

During my own journey, I had plenty of downtime to research and realised just how powerful nutrition is - not just during treatment, but in how your body supports itself and rebuilds afterwards.

Knowing where or how to start, is a whole other question…

Their Eat Well, Live Well programme has been a bit of a game changer and saved me houuuurs in shop/prep/cook time 🥳

My friends and family are already raving about it, so I’m now sharing it with you! And although it’s designed to support people going through treatment and recovery, it’s been an incredible discovery all round!

I’m definitely a comfort food kinda gal 😋 and for me it’s always a curry. So being able to have my spicy Chickpea Masala and know it’s doing me good too? Win win!

There are so many options and if you think this could help you or someone you love, have a little look at the link in my bio ✨

Oh and I love food inspo! What’s your go-to comfort meal? 🍽️

‘WHEN I’M 64’ 🎶

Happy Birthday to brightest light in any room ✨

Mum, you have this incredible way of leaving a beautiful, lasting impression on everyone you meet. Your warmth, kindness, and love don’t just fill a room, they stay with people long after you’ve gone.

At 64, you still laugh like a teenager, and I hope you never stop. You are fierce like a lioness when it comes to protecting the people you love, yet you carry the biggest, most generous heart for anyone in need.

You’ve always been my biggest cheerleader, my number one fan, and the most loving mum I could ever ask for. You sacrificed so much for us and now, seeing you with my son, your little bestie, is something I treasure more than words can say.

You are truly glorious, and somehow your inner beauty shines even brighter than anything on the outside.

I’m so grateful that I get to celebrate you today and always. I love you more than you know 🤍

Happy Birthday Mummyyyyy 🎂💃🏽✨❤️

VICTORIA & CANDY🎙️

What an episode!! I was so privileged to sit down with actor, broadcaster and producer, the beautiful and her equally beautiful mum to talk all about their shared experiences of surviving breast cancer and how they are campaigning for change around black women’s cancer care.

Talking openly about their journey, Victoria & Candy both shared how the each discovered they had breast cancer and how the power of their mother daughter relationship helped them navigate their way through the most difficult of times.

During the conversation Candy explained how she kept her diagnosis private from other members of her family and bravely went for surgery alone, hesitant to reveal it due to stigma around cancer in Nigerian culture. She explains that both she and Victoria are passionate about challenging those attitudes and want to open up important conversations to ensure women and men from across cultures get access to the care they need.

Working with they are lobbying the government for changes in policy and access, with Victoria acting as both exec producer and journalist in the award winning documentary.

This episode really moved me and showcased the strong bonds that Victoria and her mum obviously have but also their shared determination to not only survive but to make a difference for others navigating the disease.

It’s such a beautiful episode and I’m so thankful to Victoria & Candy for trusting me with their story.

My mummy. My strength. My safe place. 💛

Before I became a mother, I didn’t fully understand the depth of what you’ve given me. The sacrifices, the patience, the unwavering love. At the time I didn’t see it.

Now I’m in the beautiful (and exhausting) whirlwind of motherhood, besides saying thank you, I also want to say…I’M SORRYYYYY 😅🙈👧🏾💖

You’ve carried me through life in ways I’m still discovering, you’re my biggest champion and I’m so grateful that my son gets to experience that same love from you.

Everything I am, and everything I’m becoming, is rooted in you.

Happy Mother’s Day
I love you 🫶🏾

SEASON FINALE🎙️

In this highly emotive episode of Women & Wellbeing, actor, producer and breast cancer campaigner Victoria Ekanoye is joined by her mum, Candy, for a deeply moving conversation about resilience, family and using personal experience to create change.

As both breast cancer survivors, Victoria and Candy share their experience of navigating diagnosis, treatment and the steady steps towards recovery whilst bolstering each other with strength and support. Together, they reflect on how their shared experience opened up important conversations around women’s health, vulnerability and the power of the mother–daughter relationship during life’s most difficult moments.

The conversation also explores the wider disparities that exist in cancer care for Black women around the world. Victoria and Candy speak candidly about why awareness, early detection and representation matter — and why challenging silence and stigma around cancer remains an essential part of their advocacy.

💥 Kicking off 2025 with a bang! 💥

Super excited to share that I’ve officially signed with the incredible, and I’ll be jumping straight into my first gig of the year…TOMORROW 🎬🕵🏾‍♀️😉

It’s wild to think about how much of a rollercoaster these past 10 years have been. From my first gig in The Lion King in 2007, stepping into TV in 2014, to shooting my first film in 2022, just 4 months after a double mastectomy 🤯

Honestly… I feel like I’m just getting started. There’s still so much to learn, but I adore what I do and I’m beyond grateful to be living the dreams I had as a little girl 🥰

Feeling blessed (and a little boujee 😉) to be surrounded by such incredible talent, and especially lucky that my amazing support system is holding it down at home, whilst Mama goes out and gets hers 🥹

It’s been one hell of a ride, full of unforgettable moments, lessons, and growth 🫶🏾

Here’s to making 2025 the year of YAAAS! Let’s go!! 💥
