For mother’s day I hosted a mother wound healing event and donated 100% of ticket sales to mothers impacted by 🧊 via & 🌹

I’ve been wanting to do a second writing journal (my first is for inner child healing) for mother wound healing for years and it’s interesting it took me 2 years of no contact with my own mom to decide to finally do it.
I used to think I failed with my poetry because it couldn’t heal my relationship with my mom but seeing people’s testament of what my books and poems (slides 3-6) have meant for their moms, abuelitas and tías is enough for me to know maybe I wasn’t meant to heal my own family but instead help other ones. ❤️🩹
I don’t have many words to share because this topic makes me very emotional and publishing something so vulnerable like this is so so scary. My mother wound truly affects so many aspects of my life and I know so many of us in a culture of generational anger and grief for the women in our families can relate so deeply.
But I am doing what I know best, turning my own pain into a creative tool of collective healing❤️🩹
