For me, musing is more than posing & runway.
It’s embodying a designer’s vision.
Absorbing the concept crafted for months & bringing the garments to life.
Without models clothes simply live on hangers in closets or on manicans.
-But for a few hours I get the chance to breathe life, stretch my limbs, and give energy into stitches, fur, & fabrics.
When I went to the casting I immediately was taken aback by the studio space covered in childhood photos, scraped textiles, archived pieces, & learned this show was to pay tribute to INNOCENCE.

The collection unfolds across three distinct phases:
Boundless Imagination, Rebellion, & Adulthood

To me the fluff & fur brought out a bratty gyal who refused to let anyone limit her beliefs.
When you’re young, you feel like you can do anything, shove naysayers out the way,
Say “no” w/ clarity, stomp until you get what you want,
& push boundaries until adolescence tells you other wise…
Mind you as a child I was extremely shy around people.
But in my room I would build dynasties of art, & create the exact life I live today.
Full of color, loud expression & my vibrant Caribbean aura everywhere.

Artists are often taught to hide in studios —
to be mysterious, silent, & wait to be discovered.
-Then, hopefully overnight fame.
Not for me though…
Painting is my conversation w/ Jah.
How I speak to my ancestors & make sense of the dreams they give me through color.
How I fund my freedom & move through the world.
I studied international communications, business development, & global marketing.
So my gift wouldn’t stay hidden — or be tampered w/.
Carrying a brush I’ve traveled, healed, & paid my bills.
I took a few classes as a child, & one semester in the mountains of Southern France during Uni.
Which were enough to realize that manifesting on canvas is an honor —
Moving to Europe changed everything…
I thought I was chasing love —
instead, it planted me in a place that challenged my spirit, history, & sense of identity.
So I painted louder.
Bolder. Bigger.
More ancestral.
More honest.
Those contradictions to this icy city became medicine for some —
& later intrigue for brands I couldn’t even afford growing up.
Soon exhibitions, live performances, workshops, & campaigns followed.
