2 yaşında bir miniğimiz bazı otizm bulguları gösteriyor. İsmine tepki vermemeye başlıyor, oyuncaklar ile kendi tarzında oynuyor, mış gibi sembolik oyunlar oynamıyor, annesi babası ona bir şey söylediği zaman yapmıyor, bir görevi yerine getiremiyor, sosyal iletişimi çok zayıf aile toplanmalarında etkileşime girmiyor, konuşmuyor, taklitler yapmıyor, yan bakmalara başlıyor, durgun ve sessiz bir çocuk. Anne ve baba önce gün içinde çok izliyor diye düşünerek televizyonu kapatıyor. Televizyon hayatlarından çıkınca çocuk biraz gelişim gösteriyor ama endişeler devam ediyor. Sonra aile bir doktor muayenesi sırasında çocuğun destek ihtiyacı olduğunu öğreniyor. Kendi endişeleri ile doktor görüşü birleşiyor ve hızlı aksiyon alıp hemen görüşmeye geliyorlar.
