Participatory performance sessions open to the public — Thursday the 21st and Wednesday the 22nd of May 2026, Centro Trevi and Weigh Station
What happens when a group of people is invited to interact in silence, around a table? This is the question at the heart of Harmony in Dynamics, an international research project funded by the Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) and conducted by the Università Iuav di Venezia.
On 21 and 22 May, Bolzano hosts Tä, a participatory performance in which small groups manipulate pebbles around a table. During the sessions, cameras and observational protocols record the emerging dynamics: movement synchronisation, spontaneous coordination, cooperation without words. The scientific objective is to study the fundamental mechanisms of human cooperation — how we attune and coordinate with others, even in the absence of verbal language. Harmony in Dynamics is a research collective bringing together the laboratories of Luciano Perondi (Typeface, Graphic, Game Design — Università Iuav di Venezia), Hasan Ayaz (Neuroimaging, Human Interaction — Drexel Biomed) and Uri Hershberg (Complex Systems, Theoretical Biology — ECLT European Centre for Living Technology).
Sessions take place at Centro Trevi (via Cappuccini 28) and Weigh Station (via Portici 19/a), with groups of up to 12 participants. Participation is free and open to all, upon prior online registration:

As part of the Visual Communication project, “Alive in Photos: Gina Klaber Thusek”, students of the Bachelor in Design – Curriculum Design are developing an exhibition at the Palais Mamming Museum in Merano.
Working with the artist’s photographic archive, the students have created the exhibition from scratch: starting with research and curatorial concepts, they have developed a visual identity, spatial design, and communication materials, and brought everything together into a collective project incorporating branding, printed and digital outputs, and the final exhibition installation. This hands-on process guides them from concept to realisation, showing how design, storytelling, and curatorial practice converge in a real-world context.
-
The final exhibition will be open to the public from 29 April to 17 May 2026 at the Palais Mamming Museum.

Students from the Studio Image course of the Bachelor in Design and Art – Major Art recently traveled to Vienna to discover the city’s contemporary art landscape.
The trip included two studio visits: the first with artist Julia Frank, who is also a lecturer in the programme, and the second at die Angewandte with artist and lecturer Mary Maggic, member of the Mai Ling collective.
Alongside the studio visits, the students also visited several exhibitions across the city, including the group photography show “Care Matters” at the Albertina, the exhibiton “Octogone” by Chalisée Naamani at the Kunsthalle Wien, and works by Hito Steyerl at the MAK, as well as a stop at the independent bookstore ERDSTⒶLL.
A study trip that expanded perspectives, fostered dialogue and offered valuable insights into different artistic approaches and working methods.
