We’ve already had multiple people visit who thought it was vintage. Being able to have it custom built for us is a dream and it fits so perfectly into our home.
We can’t thank Enrico enough!
We’re bringing together people who actually know how to do it right.
(Dana + Colin) have built a following for thoughtfully restoring their Huntley Hills midcentury home—sharing their process, design decisions, and what it really takes to preserve original character. They’ll be in-store from 1–4 PM walking through their renovation and answering your questions.
(William) is Atlanta’s go-to Realtor for authentic midcentury homes & the Co-director of docomomo-ga.
We’re hosting at The Modernist Design Collective and donating 5% of all proceeds (all day) to docomomo-ga (check FB) to support local preservation efforts.

the long awaited floor mosaic recipe needed a permanent spot on the grid 🤎🤍
We were so excited to be connected with Enrico last year and see his showroom in person! It’s full of the most gorgeous original designs with craftsmanship you just don’t see anymore today.
He recently custom designed and built this chair and ottoman for us and it’s the perfect fit for our home, cannot wait to see it in our finished bedroom!! 🤎
we should have a shower in the next week or so!
like the post says, a lot of this isn’t super ground breaking news to us, but still SO exciting to have our grubby lil hands on 🤎
and not without some shockers too!
like the original kitchen having been changed by the pre-flip owner at some point ☹️, and that basement bedroom! we had NO idea there was paneling anywhere but the main basement area.
telling myself that it’s just an unflattering photo and that we could’ve made that room/paneling sooo cozy haha. can’t imagine a bed fitting in there with both a closet door and huge wardrobe blocking basically the whole thing though!
and omg. knowing for CERTAIN we had pink bathrooms upstairs is so exciting. the guest bathroom (the first pic with the long vanity) is the only one we still hadn’t fully decided on vibe-wise, and this just made the decision for us 100%. we will absolutely be restoring her, if not making her just a pinch more colorful 🤭💖
but we won’t be restoring that basement bathroom 👀 I’ve had a dream of an orange basement bathroom basically since we moved in, but told myself if we found out it was a fun color scheme originally, that we’d restore that. so this basically just gave us the go-ahead to have as much fun creatively as we want 🥰🧡
again we know our house never was the pinnacle of mid century modern design, but she still had plenty of special features that deserve to be celebrated and restored 🤎
it has been a WILD ride y’all. we really thought we were never going to see these photos and just have to go off of heresay from our neighbors. which we were fine with- but they weren’t 100% sure on some of the details. and you know we wanted to see every possible inch of this house!
the story started when we bought the house, all of our new neighbors wanted to tell us about how great it is that we bought the renovated version and not the version they originally listed untouched! so we of course asked them what it looked like and they told us about the hollywood bathroom, wood paneling, and original brick. tbh we think the shared tub in the hollywood bathroom is so funny we would have loved if they kept it lol. it’s such a quintessential feature of these P&H built homes in Atlanta.
over the years we learned more tidbits of info about the house, how it originally had avocado green appliances, a shed, and (possibly) pink bathrooms. this of course made us even more motivated to find these photos.
we know who the previous (but not first) owners of the house are, but they are in their late 70s and possibly don’t even live in GA anymore so trying to get in touch with them would be super super difficult.
all of the listing history, renovation receipts/dates that we could find, and multiple neighbors’ corroboration confirmed the exact timeline we mentioned in our post. but the flippers just kept trying to gaslight us! just like they did about their brand new roof that was leaking in the entire east half of the house 🤨
a million thank yous to for getting these uncovered for us! we are so so thankful for this little community we’ve built and the people that have helped us along the way. it sounds so silly but it means so much to us to see these. can’t wait to share them all with you!! 🤎
Our mantra here is “we’re just having a good time” and this was so so fun. I think Jeremy had the most fun though!!
A MILLION THANK YOUS to for making us sound way cooler than we are, for making us look way cooler than we are, and for making it all happen 🤎
(and of course my dad and his minivan helping us turn this home into our dream!)
