Balai Bahasa Provinsi Sumatera Utara menyelenggarakan kegiatan Krida Bahasa Kreatif Menulis Esai Tahun 2026 bersama Universitas Muslim Nusantara (UMN) Al-Washliyah. Kegiatan ini berlangsung di Auditorium Udin Sjamsuddin-Djalaluddin Lubis, Kampus Syeikh H.M. Yunus, UMN Al-Washliyah pada Selasa, 12 Mei 2026.
Kegiatan ini digelar sebagai upaya Balai Bahasa Provinsi Sumatera Utara membina dan membangun potensi generasi muda yang cakap, kritis, dan inovatif dalam menuangkan ide dan gagasan dengan menggunakan bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar.
Dalam sambutannya, Ketua Tim Kerja Pembinaan Balai Bahasa Provinsi Sumatera Utara yang diwakili oleh Wartono, S.S. mengungkapkan bahwa melalui kegiatan ini, mahasiswa akan dibekali dengan materi menulis esai yang baik dan benar. Universitas Muslim Nusantara (UMN) Al-Washliyah menandatangani perpanjangan Nota Kesepahaman atau Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dengan Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sumatera Utara. Kegiatan ini berlangsung di Aula Rektorat Kampus IV UIN Sumatera Utara pada Senin, 20 April 2026.
