Had a phenomenal experience eating modern greek cuisine at Opso. I had asked Z for recommendations given her greek roots and everything was delicious. Opso has a great variety of vegetarian and meat options and everything is super fresh and flavourful. My favourites had to be beetroot carpaccio and fresh pita bread and tzatziki. I'd go again just for that soft doughy pita bread. Please excuse me while I drool....

Trying reels for the first time so show some love. Was craving something spicy yesterday so decided to experiment with harissa in a pasta sauce. Let me know what you think!

It's been a few years since we visited WaCafe and yesterday was a reminder of how lovely this place still is. Their Sakura latte was delicious - had this fragrant sweetness to it that tasted like cherry blossoms. The star of the show has to be their cakes though, if you love matcha you have to try their matcha roll cake. or if you're a chocolate lover we love their gateau which often gets sold out!

We may not be in Italy but on sunny days like these, it's worth the trip to Stoke Newington for the wonderful gelato at Romeo & Giuletta. highly recommended this place as the best gelateria in london so we had to try it. They're passionate about making traditional gelato using fresh and natural ingredients with no artificial colouring. They do a series of specials too, with flavors like Tiramisu and Ricotta with Caramelised Figs. It's no wonder this place is a local favourite, wish I could move closer to have this more regularly!

Saw this place while walking down Smith St. In brooklyn And can't believe I hadn't gone there sooner. I LOVE this place. Went there 4 times in 2 weeks and ordered the same thing every damn time. Their fresh bread as you get seated is to die for. The setting is beautiful and id happily celebrate any occasion here. The pizza is loaded with fresh ingredients and the star of the show...the ravioli. Ooooof. The taste made me picture the moment in #ratatouille when the food critic had one taste and he pictured his childhood. Now I didn't have a pasta like this as a child but this made me pause and savor each bite. Best truffle ravioli I have ever had. Period.

With people chasing that instagram aesthetic it's hard to find places to eat where the food is as beautiful as their interiors and atmosphere. BEAM creates this laid back vibe, like you're sitting in a beautifully designed living room, while serving a delicious middle eastern menu. Having had a few different dishes on their menu, we can attest their food is consistent. The Goats cheese was rich and creamy on a super fresh salad. They nailed this one. For when you want a salad but also want cheese...this one's for you.

Hi old friends, it's been a while. While so much has changed this year, we still love brunch. Had probably one of the best brunches I've had in NYC last weekend at Banter NYC, a mellow spot in Greenwich village which opened in 2016 by friends Nick and Josh. With outdoor dining going strong, we sat outside in the cool sub 5 degree temperatures, but it didn't take away from how delicious the food and great the service was. Now I may be a basic beachhhh but I love a good, well seasoned, Avocado toast and this hit the spot. Who doesn't love a sprinkle of Zaatar? Talking about seasoning, those sweet potato fries - OMG - seasoned to perfection. Finished it off with a Nutella stuffed french toast, because it's all about balancing sweet with the savory right? Loved the granola topping on the french toast it added a lovely crunchy texture to dish. Love love love this place.

While I was visiting home for Christmas in London, one place I had to revisit was Melabes. Melabes is a rustic med restaurant based in kensington. Their dishes are rich in flavour, well presented and authentic. While the service here is not perfect (sometimes its hard to get the waiters attention when its busy and I've have had dishes forgotten), its still by far one of our favourite Mediterranean restaurants because of their food - and its not just us, 2 weeks ago Melabes won the 2020 London Food Awards for the Best Mediterranean restaurant! Congrats! So in honour of this occasion, we thought we'd share some of our favourite dishes form their menu. The velvet hummus is insanely good - so creamy and smooth I want to swim in it. The garlic laffa goes perfectly with it (plus the laffa is served with this gorgeous tomato salsa and tahini which is awesome on its own). The falafels are crisp and soft on the inside - exactly the texture you're looking for and nestled in a tahini sauce. You also have to get the potato wedges - its beautifully seasoned and they get the skins to be so perfectly crisp. Add it your list people!
