It blows my mind that just a few weeks ago, some people in Manchester, New Hampshire tried to shut this down and it even made the news. They claim it’s not political, but to me it absolutely is ….. creating art in a park that’s been neglected for years, only for police and the media to show face and try to stop something so innocent? That is political.
I’m so grateful for work like this. People don’t always see the ripple effect art creates. When kids are part of something like this, it gives them pride not just in the art, but in where they live. And when you’re proud of where you live, you want to care for it, explore it, and keep building it up.
