With all of the Halloween parties, events and parades at school we got A LOT of candy. Maybe too much if there is such a thing…
On the one hand this is a good time of year to continue teaching moderation when it comes to food, but on the other hand the surplus of candy and treats are only beginning for this holiday season.
Enter >> the Switch Witch! If you leave your candy on your doorstep after trick or treating on Halloween night, the Switch Witch will come trade it in for a new toy or something the child has been wanting!
Our version >> Quinn got to keep a few pieces of candy to continue showing her candy in moderation is ok and the Switch Witch was going to bring the candy to kids who didn’t get to go trick or treating for any number of reasons. She got a toy and some shoes she’s been eying for months (so did Teddy!) and my 8mos pregnant self got to keep all the candy. 😂
Overall she had so much fun making this trade and I think it was the perfect way to pull back on candy while showing her classic Halloween fun!
