When I started my YouTube channel in February 2019, I never imagined that a guy like me—born and raised in France—could touch the hearts of over 100,000 wonderful people in Sri Lanka and around the world. In the beginning, I wasn’t comfortable in front of the camera and was shy to talk in Sinhala due to our french accent. But now, the camera—and especially YouTube—has become a part of my life. Even my Sinhala improved, video by video.
I’ve learned so much, developed new skills, and met beautiful people along the way!
Through my videos, I wanted to share:
- The love I have for Sri Lanka, even though I wasn’t born there.
-The special bond we can share with our siblings.
My parents instilled in me the values of Sri Lankan culture and traditions from the moment I was born, and for that, I’m forever grateful. My sister and I have always cherished our trips to Sri Lanka, even though we had the opportunity to visit other countries. For us, it was always about Sri Lanka—our hearts were there, and that’s where our memories were made.
Now, my goal is to take Sri Lanka to new heights by sharing the beauty of this incredible country through my videos. I love using my creativity to promote Sri Lanka in a different way through my street interviews.
Another aspect of this YouTube journey is the bond between siblings. There are countless couple videos on YouTube, but videos showcasing sibling relationships are rare.
My sister and I’ve been incredibly close since childhood, but we never used to take many pictures or videos together. YouTube gave us the chance to create memories and showcase our bond. Through our videos, we’ve been able to share the love we have for each other, and I hope it serves as a reminder to other siblings to cherish one another. Most of the siblings, let their egos get in the way and forget to show love. I hope our videos inspire others to reconnect with their siblings, to hug them, and to appreciate them before time slips away ♥️
